Multiple secretaries of state in battleground states are reporting robocalls to their residents telling them to stay home Tuesday. They are worried the calls are misleading and spreading misinformation on Election Day, and the FBI and other law enforcement agencies are looking into where the calls are originating from.The anonymous robocalls, which appear to come from a local number, tell voters, “Now is the time to stay home. Stay safe and stay home.”Michigan’s Secretary of State, Jocelyn Benson, tweeted Tuesday morning about the robocalls.“We received reports that an unknown party is purposefully spreading misinformation via robocalls in Flint in an attempt to confuse voters there. I want to ensure everyone who plans to vote in person understands you *must be in line to do so by 8 p.m. today.*” 815

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A new piece of evidence in the case of a missing Tennessee 5-year-old indicates that Joe Clyde Daniels could still be alive.The boy disappeared in April and investigators have long presumed he is dead. But, his body has never been found. Scripps station WTVF in Nashville obtained photos of the letter that was sent anonymously to Joe Clyde's grandparents.The handwritten letter was postmarked out of Nashville. It was sent this week to the grandparents in Dickson, Tennessee. The anonymous writer claims Joe Clyde's mother, Krystal Daniels, arranged to give the little boy away."I believe Krystal got Joe's clothes, packed them into a bag... and left Joe on the side of the road," the letter says.The writer claims that he is alive and living in west Tennessee, possibly in Jackson. "If we could get Krystal to confess what really happened...with this case. I know it's a bizarre case," the letter reads. The letter goes on to name those involved. WTVF has chosen not to reveal the names because the individuals have not been named by police as part of the investigation. Jake Lockert, the attorney for Joseph Daniels — Joe Clyde's father who is charged in his death — confirmed the grandparents have turned the letter over to authorities. Investigators have yet to comment on the new evidence.  Police say Krystal Daniels had motive against Joe Clyde. Investigators tell NewsChannel 5 she was frustrated with raising a child with autism and was angry the family was forced to give away their dogs because of him.  The letter doesn't mention the child's father. Earlier this year, investigators said Joseph Daniels confessed to killing his son. However, his attorney argues the confession was coerced. To this day, investigators said Joseph Daniels has not been able to tell them what happened to his son's remains.   1940

More than half of parents think their children can get the flu from the vaccine, according to a new national survey by Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Postmaster General Louis DeJoy told senators Friday that the cost-cutting fixes he has made to the U.S. Postal Service transportation system were designed to improve service."The only change I made, ma'am, was the trucks leave on time," said Postmaster General Louis DeJoy on Friday.But an investigation by Scripps station WTVF in Nashville found that, at the same time that DeJoy was testifying, the Postal Service was paying for an empty truck to drive from Nashville to Illinois.It turns out that DeJoy's changes have led to empty postal trucks being run all over the country.Testifying before a U.S. Senate committee Friday, DeJoy defended his cost-cutting measures, specifically highlighting cuts that targeted transportation issues within the Postal Service.Those cuts require postal trucks to leave sorting facilities by a specific time each day and are intended to reduce expenses related to overtime and extra trips.But postal workers in Nashville say DeJoy's new mandate is not practical and is having unintended consequences."Trucks leave empty," said Joe Jolley, a postal employee with the postal workers union in Nashville. "They leave completely empty. We pay a truck to travel to Memphis, a 53-foot truck with no mail on it."Piles of mail that, postal workers say, missed their intended transportsJolley said DeJoy's new policy does not allow a truck to be held up for even five minutes so it can be loaded with mail. He added that Express Mail and Priority Mail are often left sitting on the docks because trucks have already left."That is very important mail — cremated remains, legal documents, things that must be delivered on time, guaranteed delivery — and we are not making that guarantee," Jolley said.In June, the Postal Service's inspector general issued a report on the transportation network."During our site visits, we observed mail processing operations not processing mail timely, and not enough dock personnel moving the mail.
