SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Southern California home sales are seeing a significant drop, according to a new report by CoreLogic. In San Diego County, home sales are down more than eight percent year-over-year. Despite a dip in sales, home prices rose 2.6 percent from February of 2018 to February of 2019.The median home price in February was 9,000, CoreLogic reports. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Siblings are frantically searching for their missing mother, after she walked out of Hospital Angeles in Tijuana Friday afternoon, according to her family.Jessica Puente, 73, accompanied her daughter, Johnica, for a surgery. When Johnica woke up, her mother was gone. "First thing I was like where's my mom, where's my mom? And they were like we don't know where she went," Johnica said.After questioning staff, a security monitor revealed Jessica walked out while speaking with the security guard at 11 a.m. Jessica asked the guard where to exchange money, Johnica said. She thinks her mom was going to find something to eat."We'll leave no stone unturned in Tijuana," her brother said Sunday night. He and their other brother flew into San Diego over the weekend, from their Seattle home, to help with the search."We tried to call the consulate but they're closed, we um called all these hospitals, we even went to the morgue, they went to the morgue this morning to see if there are any unidentified bodies," Johnica said they filed a police report with San Diego PD, passed out fliers in Mexico and have been using their connections to churches to spread the word.Johnica described her mother as shy, and says when she gets tired, she can get a little confused. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Several business sectors will be cleared to reopen indoor activities with modifications next week in San Diego County under the state's new guidance, according to local health officials.Under California's new blueprint for reopening amid the coronavirus pandemic, starting Monday, Aug. 31, San Diego County can reopen indoor operations at the following businesses with modifications:Restaurants for dine-in, places of worship, museums, and movie theaters at a maximum of 25% capacity or 100 people, whichever is less;Gyms, yoga studios, and fitness centers at a maximum of 10% capacity;Hair salons, barbershops, nail salons, and body waxing studios;Libraries and bookstores at a maximum of 50% capacity;Shopping malls at a maximum of 50% capacity, with closed common areas, and reduced food court capacity;Aquariums and zoos at a maximum of 25% capacityBusinesses that have been reopened under their safe reopening plans may have to be modified to meet the state's new percentages on capacity, according to Gary Johnston, the county's Chief Resiliency Officer on Reopening."The safe reopening plans, you need to modify those and express on those plans how you're going to adhere to the requirements that came out with the state," Johnston said.California's new rules for reopening are based on a four-tier, color-coded system that counties will move through based on their number of cases (case rate) and the percentage of positive tests. The owners think the suspects shot at their windows with a type of pellet gun. At least three businesses had windows either shattered or broken. Benjamin Nicholls, with the Hillcrest Business Association says he feels these businesses were targeted because of the time of year. San Diego Pride is 9 days away. Gavin Newsom strongly asserted that more has to be done to battle the "climate emergency."Newsom toured the devastation at a park in Oroville, Calif., that was burned by the North Complex fire. Since the fire began on Aug. 18, the fire has burned 252,534 acres through Plumas, Butte, and Yuba counties and is 23% contained.It's one of 28 major wildfires burning across California, according to CAL FIRE.During his tour, the governor shot back at the debate over climate change and pledge to continue the state's efforts at lower carbon emissions. Newsom cited August being the state's hottest month in state history and annual drought conditions throughout the state."I'm a little exhausted that we have to continue to debate this issue.
