SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Nearly 5,000 San Diegans are set to gather throughout the county for a morning of prayer Saturday.The event, called "We Pray San Diego" will bring 4,900 people together as well as 132 pastors and several county leaders. The event takes place from 9 a.m. through 10 a.m."Eight of the 18 local mayors of San Diego, two County Supervisors and over 132 local pastors will be standing together on the streets of our city’s borders, praying and being present in a moment to cry out to God for the changes needed to move America’s Finest City from crisis to thriving in unity, growth and healing," event organizers said.County Suervisors include Jim Desmond and Diane Jacob, as well as Mayors Mark Arapostathis of La Mesa, Coronado Mayor Richard Bailey, Carlsbad's Matt Hall, San Marcos Mayor Rebecca Jones, Escondido Mayor Paul McNamara, Racquel Vasquez of Lemon Grove, Steve Vaus of Poway, and El Cajon Mayor Bill Wells.“We are all so fortunate to live in a county like San Diego. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Passengers in a deadly bus crash near Fallbrook on I-15 Saturday suffered broken bones, cuts and scrapes, according to California Highway Patrol.A 23-year-old woman from Mexico, a 73-year-old woman from Pasadena, and a 67-year-old woman from Riverside lost their lives in the crash.In a press release CHP stated 8 of the 20 passengers were from Mexico, one was from Temecula and the others were from Southern California. Their ages range from 5-years-old to 75-years-old.READ RELATED: At least three dead, 18 injured in bus rollover on Interstate 15The 5-year-old boy who was airlifted to the University of Riverside Health Services Medical Center has life threatening head injuries. He was from Mexico.Four passengers are being cared for at Inland Valley Medical Center. Seven are being treated at Temecula Valley Medical Center. Five are at the Palomar Medical Center.CHP issued a correction, saying there were 21 people total on the bus, instead of 22 as they reported Saturday. The error came from double counting the driver.CHP said the National Transportation and Safety Board is arriving Monday to investigate the crash.The bus crashed off the side of South Bound I-15 around 10:25 a.m. Saturday while rain was falling south of Fallbrook. 1272

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Neighbors in Scripps Ranch are on edge after a series of break-ins over the course of a week at the beginning of March.Residents in the area reported five break-ins or attempted break-ins to the Scripps Ranch Civic Association's Neighborhood Watch from March 9 to March 16.During one of the burglaries on the 11800 block of Charmaine Way, suspects shattered a sliding glass door and were able to take jewelry and electronics.RELATED: Burglar squeezes past security system, raids homeDuring another break-in, it appears the suspect was unable to get into the home, according to the neighborhood watch. She's living with cerebal palsy which has kept her in a wheelchair. But, it's not holding her back. "When people look at me. It's been really hard, but I overcome that. You can do anything, I tell people you can do anything in the world," said Solis.Solid has worked in the security field and wants to move onto bigger opportunities so she decided to attend this job fair.Charlene Autolino is the chair of San Diego Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities, which put the fair together. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Neighbors point to a devastating Northern California fire as their strongest case towards getting the latest housing development denied in East County.Dozens killed and home after home devastated by the Camp Fire in Paradise, Calif., last year."A fire here would cause massive casualties and probably burn into Chula Vista or San Diego," Peter Anderson, of the Sierra Club, said in front of the County Administration Building Wednesday.Neighbors and environmental advocates opposed to Otay Ranch Village 14 say the county needs to stop piling up hazards. Despite the protest, the county moved Wednesday to move forward with the project."This is a catastrophe in the making," Dan Silver, of the Endangered Habitats League, said. "There are tens of thousands of unbuilt units in good village locations, there is no need to put a project in such a dangerous location."Those opposed also believe evacuations would be an issue adding the infrastructure should go elsewhere.The locations for many of the new housing developments in San Diego have been called dangerous.
