On Wednesday, the retail giant unveiled a reimagined store design in 200 Supercenters by early 2021 and 1,000 by next fiscal year.Walmart said that the new design would create a "seamless" Omni-shopping experience with more self-checkout kiosks and contactless payment options."We’re always listening to our customers and innovating our in-store, online, and mobile experiences to meet and exceed their expectations," said Janey Whiteside, EVP, and Chief Customer Officer, Walmart, in a blog post. Video obtained by Fox News shows Speaker Nancy Pelosi inside of a San Francisco salon getting her hair styled amid a citywide restriction on salons from being open during the coronavirus pandemic. While it appears Pelosi and the eSalon may have violated the city’s order on Monday, a spokesperson for Pelosi claimed that the speaker did not violate the city’s mandate.In the video, Pelosi is seen without a mask over her mouth or nose while inside the salon.“The Speaker always wears a mask and complies with local COVID requirements. This business offered for the Speaker to come in on Monday and told her they were allowed by the city to have one customer at a time in the business. The Speaker complied with the rules as presented to her by this establishment," Drew Hammill, deputy chief of staff for Pelosi, told San Francisco’s KTVU.On Tuesday, the city began allowing salons to open for outdoor operations, while continuing to prohibit operations indoors.The salon’s owner Erica Kious told Fox News that she released the video of Pelosi’s visit to show a double standard in California’s plan to reopen amid the pandemic.“It was a slap in the face that she went in, you know, that she feels that she can just go and get her stuff done while no one else can go in, and I can’t work,” Kious told the network. (KGTV) — The jury deciding former NFL star Kellen Winslow Jr.'s fate in a rape trial, sent a note to the judge asking two questions.The questions lending a window into what's happening as the jury continues deliberating.10News spoke with Defense Attorney Gretchen Von Helms, to gain insight.On the surface, the questions seem obvious: "The jurors could benefit from an explanation as to what being under oath means. Yes, you're supposed to follow the law," Von Helms said.She said the note made her think the jury was not agreeing, "the jury's trying to be nice here and say there's one person who just doesn't want to follow the rules, that's what it sounds like."The first question, she said, could indicate questions the jurors have, "sometimes police officers have to take an oath to be a police officer and maybe they feel that the police officer didn't do their job and follow up correctly or maybe they feel that their definition of that oath is different from the jurors oath."In regards to the second question, she said "the gut versus law issue, they must follow the law, even if they don't like the defendant, even though some people may not want to convict him because he's a football legacy, you can't do that. WASHINGTON — The Justice Department explored whether it could pursue either criminal or civil rights charges against local city officials as violence erupted night after night on the streets of Portland, Oregon.Federal officials researched whether they could levy criminal or civil charges against the officials, department spokesperson Kerri Kupec said.The research likely explored whether the rhetoric and actions of city officials may have helped spur the violence in Portland.The revelation underscores the Trump administration's effort seek action against those who officials believe may be helping contribute to protest-related violence.Kupec declined to comment on whether charges would be brought.According to The Associated Press, federal officials have reported that they were told by local law enforcement that they were explicitly told not to intervene at Portland's federal courthouse — the site of more than a hundred straight days of protest this summer. Protesters threw rocks and bottles at police and vandalized the building during several protests during that stretch.The Trump administration then briefly sent federal agents to the city in an attempt to quell the protests. Their initial presence in the city led to heightened tensions in mid-summer months.Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler said in a statement that it was "ridiculous" that the Trump administration was attempting to "distract" from its failures in handling the COVID-19 pandemic and west coast wildfires."The administration has made the cynical decision that the suffering of others is politically beneficial, regardless of the cost," he said, according to The Associated Press.
