The Los Angeles Times reports the owner plans to turn the 91-year-old building into a hotel where a select group of members buys into "a piece of a portfolio of the best real estate in the world." Members will own shares of the property and pay regular fees to cover management costs. (KGTV) – A skydiver in California’s Central Valley died Monday morning after her parachute failed to open, KRON reports.Authorities say the woman was a veteran jumper who was using her own equipment when the accident happened.The plane carrying the unidentified woman took off from Skydive Lodi Parachute Center. LONDON — The British government says it won’t be using 50 million face masks it bought during a scramble to secure protective equipment for medics at the height of the coronavirus outbreak because of safety concerns.The masks were part of a 252 million pound (2 million) contract the government signed with investment firm Ayanda Capital in April.
