LAS VEGAS (AP) — Evel Knievel’s son is on a collision course with the Walt Disney Co. and Pixar over a movie daredevil character named Duke Caboom. A federal trademark infringement lawsuit filed in Las Vegas accuses the moviemaker of improperly basing the “Toy Story 4” character on Knievel. Las Vegas-based K and K Promotions accuses Disney-owned Pixar of intentionally modeling the Caboom character, voiced by Keanu Reeves in the movie, after Knievel — although Knievel’s name is never mentioned.Knievel's famous stunts in the 1960s and ‘70s included motorcycle jumps over the Caesars Palace fountain in Las Vegas and a rocket shot into Snake River Canyon in Idaho. The Walt Disney Co. says it will defend itself from what it calls Knievel's meritless claims.“Evel Knievel did not thrill millions around the world, break his bones and spill his blood just so Disney could make a bunch of money,” Kelly Knievel said in a statement announcing the lawsuit.Knievel was seriously injured many times during more than 75 motorcycle jumps. LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. - A Lee County, Florida woman is fed up with her delivered packages being roughed up.Nora Martin has discovered her stuff in some weird places. "They've ended up all over the front of my house," Martin said. "Even in the flower bed."Martin and her husband set up a surveillance camera to see how their postal carrier delivered packages.They couldn't believe their eyes as they watched their son's box tossed from the delivery car's window with zero care. "10 feet from my door, and the best she could do was hurl my package out the window," Martin said.Martin said she was upset because her son was the one who ordered collectibles. She was the one who saw his disappointment when he saw the damaged box."He works very hard for his money. (KGTV) - A thief in a hoodie made off with a haul in La Mesa and the contents of that haul are sparking outrage.Outside her condo just off El Cajon Boulevard, Kathleen put out several bags and boxes right outside her front door Monday morning. "A lot of sweaters and warm winter clothes, a couple pair of shoes and a teddy bear," said Kathleen.Also included: Several throw rugs and some households items. Stuck on each box and bag was a sticky note with the name: Vietnam Veterans of America, the group picking up the donations."They weren't scheduled to come until Tuesday," said Kathleen.So when Kathleen came home Monday afternoon and discovered the donations gone, she checked her Ring camera footage. The video begins with a person in a hoodie, bending down, lifting a box and throw rug, and then running off. Kathleen says the camera wasn't rolling when the other stuff vanished."Really sad they take from Vietnam veterans," said Kathleen.Kathleen comes from a military family, including a brother who served in the Vietnam War."It's heartbreaking.
