(AP) — Facebook is tightening its policy against QAnon, the baseless conspiracy theory QAnon, which paints President Donald Trump as a secret warrior against a supposed child-trafficking ring run by celebrities and government officials."Starting today, we will remove any Facebook Pages, Groups and Instagram accounts representing QAnon, even if they contain no violent content," a blog post from the company stated on Tuesday. The move comes less than two months after Facebook said it would stop promoting the group and its adherents — but faltered with spotty enforcement. Facebook said since they stepped up these measures in August, they have removed more than 1,500 pages and groups for QAnon containing discussions of potential violence and more than 6,500 pages and groups connected with militarized social movements.Facebook said Tuesday that it will remove Facebook pages, groups and Instagram accounts for “representing QAnon.”"Pages, Groups and Instagram accounts that represent an identified Militarized Social Movement are already prohibited. And we will continue to disable the profiles of admins who manage Pages and Groups removed for violating this policy, as we began doing in August," the company stated. OLDSMAR, Fla. — Deputies in Pinellas County, Florida arrested an 18-year-old for allegedly doing doughnuts on a golf course in a gated community.It happened on Sunday around 2:30 a.m. inside the East Lake Woodlands community in Oldsmar. Deputies arrested Luca Canalungo for criminal mischief. Deputies say he caused at least ,000 in damage to the course. He allegedly drove his vehicle on several areas of the golf course greens and damaged multiple turf areas causing significant damage to the 7th and 8th holes, according to an arrest affidavit. An 18-year-old arrested after deputies say he did doughnuts on a golf course. OROVILLE, Calif. (AP) — Officials at the nation's tallest dam unleashed water down a rebuilt spillway Tuesday for the first time since it crumbled two years ago and drove hundreds of thousands of California residents from their homes over fears of catastrophic flooding.Water flowed down the spillway and into the Feather River as storms this week and melting snowpack are expected to swell the lake behind Oroville Dam in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, said Molly White, principal engineer with the California Department of Water Resources.The spring storms follow a very wet winter that coated the mountains with thick snowpack, which state experts will coincidentally measure Tuesday to determine the outlook for California's water supplies. Heavy winter rain and snow has left the state drought-free for the first time since December 2011, experts say.The dam's main spillway "was designed and constructed using 21st century engineering practices and under the oversight and guidance from state and federal regulators and independent experts," Joel Ledesma, deputy director of the department's State Water Project, said in a statement."We spent the last two years restoring full functionality of the spillway. We expect it to run as designed," Ledesma said during a news conference.The original spillway on the 770-foot-high (235-meter) dam, which is 150 miles (241 kilometers) northeast of San Francisco, was built in the 1960s.In early 2017, storms drenched the state and the massive spillway broke apart as it carried heavy flows.Dam operators reduced the flow and allowed water to run down an emergency spillway — essentially a low area on the reservoir's rim — but the flow began eroding the earthen embankment that had never been used. Authorities suddenly had to order an evacuation of nearly 200,000 people living in communities downstream.The threat of a dam collapse that would unleash a torrent of water did not happen, however, and people were allowed to go home days later.In January 2018, an independent panel of dam safety experts released a nearly 600-page report that blamed the crisis on "long-term and systemic failures" by California dam managers and regulators to recognize inherent construction and design flaws in the dam.Repairs have cost .1 billion. California requested about 9 million from the Federal Emergency Management Agency for the fixes, but the federal government has rejected 6 million of those reimbursements. U.S. officials say the dam's upper gated spillway was damaged prior to the heavy rain two years ago.Local water agencies are already paying some of the repair costs, and they would cover anything not paid by the federal government. 2703

Not since a monolith was found on the surface of the moon in Stanley Kubrick's classic "2001: A Space Odyssey" has a mystery object confounded the greatest minds of our generation.Or maybe not.According to the Utah Department of Public Safety, a curious metallic-looking object was found in the southeastern part of the state while conducting a count of bighorn sheep by helicopter.Utah Highway Patrol posted photos and videos of the object on Friday that showed a 10-foot tall metallic object with four sides. The surface is shiny but does not appear to be reflective.According to the post, the item was found in the "middle of nowhere."Officials won't announce the exact location of the object as "it is in a very remote area, and if individuals were to attempt to visit the area, there is a significant possibility they may become stranded and require rescue."It's not known who installed the metal monolith.
