SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The San Diego State University Police Department, along with its allied agencies, is stepping up patrols after a string of robberies.Students and non-students have been targeted in recent weeks on and off-campus.At 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, three students were robbed by at least two people. Their phones and a set of keys were stolen.On Monday, just before 7 p.m., another person was robbed while walking along the sidewalk near Lindo Paseo and College Avenue. Police say two suspects pushed the victim down and stole their phone.“Avoid distraction and stay alert, if they see suspicious activity call us right away," said Raquel Herriott, Community and Media Relations Specialist with the SDSU Police Department.Students have also been targeted through the Offer Up app which connects buyers and sellers to household items.Police are looking for a suspect in the Offer Up cases, named Anthony Joseph Green. They explain the test scores are too low and keep dropping. The vote technically didn't carry because the board needs six votes to pass any motion. The vote Thursday night was four to two, not all members were present for the vote. If the schools are forced to shut down, nearly 1,000 students would have to look for new schools at the end of the school year. She tells me this is her daughter's first year, "it's been a Godsend because I was so done with not being able to have LeLe brought up to her potential in the public schools". The closure will impact the Sycuan Green Line.The station plans to reopen in 2022.The station is a vital connection between SDSU's main campus and the stadium. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – The San Diego Humane Society is asking for the public’s help in finding the person responsible for seriously injuring a little dog.On Aug. 5, at around 5:30 p.m., a passerby found a severely injured Chihuahua in an alley near 339 S. 39th Street in San Diego’s Mountain View area.Humane Society officials said the one-year-old dog is in critical but stable condition “with a guarded prognosis” and is being cared for at the Humane Society’s Pilar & Chuck Bahde Center for Shelter Medicine.Details on the dog's injuries were not released.San Diego Humane Society Humane Law Enforcement Chief Bill Ganley said, “We are hoping someone might recognize this dog and can help us find the person who did this.
