One-time strangers are capturing the attention of tens of thousands of people on the internet.Their Virginia Beach photo shoot left many people hoping their on-camera chemistry develops into something more.Baxter Jackson says he “was not expecting somebody as beautiful as [her]” when he met Heather John.The nerves quickly settled for Jackson after he saw John for the first time during a “stranger session” photo shoot at Stumpy Lake Natural Area. The stranger session looks more like and engagement shoot to many people.When asked if they felt the chemistry, Johnson said, “If I say there was no chemistry, I’d be lying.”The photo shoot was Sunday and the pictures were posted Monday. More than 45,000 shares and 15,000 comments later, social media is captivated by the images and the idea that this is only this beginning.“I shared them and then I checked back probably 30 minutes later and I was like, 'Oh my goodness - this escalated really quickly!' It’s wild!'” says John.The internet sounded off, saying divine intervention is at work and foreshadowing a future for the two.Photographer Cassie Bailey picked the pair after putting out an ad asking for a single male and female to do a stranger shoot.“I got home and edited [the pictures] and I was just like, ‘Am I ready to share this? An FDA advisory committee is backing a treatment meant to help people with peanut allergies. It still hasn't been federally approved but researchers are hopeful about it because it has the potential to help more than 1 million kids and teens who suffer from peanut allergies. The treatment comes in the form of a capsule. The drug is called Palforzia. It's not meant to be a total cure but rather a treatment that can help children build up a tolerance and reduce their allergic reaction. One teen that’s been part of the testing started off the trial with just three milligrams of a peanut — that's equivalent to just one one-hundredth of a peanut! Nina Nichols didn't have a reaction until she consumed 300 milligrams. She is in a controlled environment where doctors can jump in and help her when needed. Researchers will increase her dosage to build up tolerance every two weeks. “I never thought that I could … tolerate the equivalent of one peanut,” Nichols said. “That's just crazy to me because I started off reacting to one one-fiftieth of a peanut. You can't even cut that up yourself.” Nichols will be part of a food challenge in December where doctors give her up to 2,000 milligrams of peanuts. If she passes that round, she'll move on to real foods to see how she reacts to different elements of a peanut. Allergy expert Tonya A. Winders says the decision is monumental because there have been no FDA approved treatments for peanut allergies before. The father of New England Patriots running back James White was killed in a crash Sunday afternoon in South Florida, hours before his team's appearance on NBC's "Sunday Night Football."Broward Sheriff's Office Sgt. Donald Prichard said Miami-Dade police Capt. Tyrone White was killed in a two-vehicle crash about 1 p.m. along Griffin Road in Cooper City. Prichard said one vehicle overturned and the other caught fire. Two of the three victims were flown to a hospital for medical treatment, but the elder White was pronounced dead at the scene. CHICAGO, Ill. -- Karate is well-known for teaching discipline, but its focus on core strength, balance and confidence-building could be effective for something else – helping people living with brain disorders such as Parkinson’s. Twice a week, inside a karate dojo in Chicago, students learn the fundamental movements of Kihon technique. “We did something called KoGo Kumite which is partner work, working on rhythm, working on distancing, working on timing and working on technique.” But for Fonseca Martial Arts head instructor Brian Ramrup this is a class like none other he’s taught before. “These guys all have Parkinson's,” said Ramrup. More than 1 million Americans have Parkinson’s disease. The progressive neurological disorder affects balance and movement. Tremors and stiffness are common symptoms, but the disease can also lead to depression and anxiety. For Sonia Vargas, diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2005, it started with tingling in her legs. “It felt like I was carrying some piece of some heavy equipment on my legs,” said Vargas. A year ago, on the recommendation of her neurologist, Vargas joined the Chicago-area martial arts academy.“These guys are learning how to go to the ground safely, how to break falls,” said Ramrup. It’s a skill that can help avoid injuries for patients who begin to lose balance and fall frequently. It’s part of a program studying the potential for karate to slow the progression of the disorder. “When I went to the first class, the next day, I felt a difference. It was so remarkable,” said Vargas. Dr. Jori Fleisher is the principal investigator of the study and a neurologist at Rush University Medical Center. She says initial results are promising. “We found clinically significant changes in quality of life which is huge,” said Fleisher. “It's a great exercise covering a lot of the areas: balance, core strength, big large amplitude movements when people are kind of tiny or smaller, stiffer. They're sort of fighting back actively against that.” Camaraderie is also a key component. The group now competes together, cheering for one another on good days and bad. “The exercises help tremendously the competitions. I mean really gets you going. I mean my first competition I got I got the orange belt,” said Vargas. The year-long randomized program concludes next month, and Dr. Fleisher remains cautiously optimistic about the outcome.“I don't think karate will be the end all be all.
