A brutal attack on a McDonald's drive-thru worker in Michigan has the victim speaking out against her attacker."He drove up and I opened the window halfway to take his money. He shot me with a paintball gun and drove off," the victim said. She also recalls that the customer's weapon closely resembled a real handgun. The entire terrifying ordeal still has her in shock."It wasn't like I was being nasty or anything. I just took his order and he wasn't satisfied with the answer he had got," she says. It happened at 1:30 am, at McDonald's in Dearborn, Michigan at Michigan and Gulley. The shooter is described as a black male in his 30s, heavy set with a hat, driving a late model black colored Ford Crown Victoria. The victim is expected to make a full recovery. However, she hasn't decided if she'll return to work at McDonald's. 870
A former student and three current students have been arrested and charged for their involvement in a prank that sent a student riding a dirt bike down a hallway at GlenOak High School in Canton, Ohio.According to officials at the Stark County Jail, all four were arrested for taking part in the prank that allowed a student to zoom through the hall on a dirt bike. The prank sent the school into a lockdown. The school said the incident has raised security concerns. One person involved, Eloy Lopes, 18, isn't a student at the school anymore."Our staff at GlenOak acted swiftly in addressing the immediate safety concerns as a result of the prank," a school representative school said in an email.Lopes was criminally charged with inducing panic with a reckless disregard for others, according to the sheriff. The sheriff's report said he was charged with criminal trespassing because he is not a current student at GlenOak. According to authorities, he held a door open for the dirt bike rider. The three students involved, a 17-year-old male and two 18-year-old males, were also arrested and charged with inducing panic with a reckless disregard for others for their involvement in the prank, according to authorities. The school has not addressed the status of the three current students, nor has it said whether or not security policies will change moving forward. 1515
A feud between members of the WNBA's Atlanta Dream and one of the team's owner, Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-Georgia), escalated on Tuesday when Dream players wore shirts supporting Loeffler's opponent in an upcoming special election.Since opening the 2020 season in Bradenton, Florida, the WNBA has taken several steps to honor the Black Lives Matter movement in response to hundreds of nationwide protests against police brutality and systemic racism. Games have taken place on courts emblazoned with the words "Black Lives Matter," and players have worn the names of those who have died at the hands of police on the backs of their jerseys.Loeffler has not been involved with day-to-day team operations since she was appointed to replace Sen. Johnny Isakson, R-Georgia, upon his retirement. But earlier this year, Loeffler said she objected to the league's move to embrace Black Lives Matter, calling it a "divisive political movement." Several WNBA players denounced Loeffler's comments at the time.On Tuesday, members of both the Atlanta Dream and their opponents, the Phoenix Mercury, wore shirts reading "VOTE WARNOCK" during warmups. The shirts refer to Raphael Warnock, a Democrat running in a November special election for Loeffler's seat."We are @wnba players, but like the late, great John Lewis said, we are also ordinary people with extraordinary vision," Dream center Elizabeth Williams wrote on Twitter. "@ReverendWarnock has spent his life fighting for the people and we need him in Washington." 1514
