Caesars Entertainment Corporation announced plans Wednesday to bring a non-gaming Caesars Palace resort to beach-front property along the coast of Puerto Los Cabos, Mexico. The 0 million luxury beachfront hotel will be developed by Grupo Questro. Caesars Entertainment will manage the property and receive a licensing and management fee. It is set to break ground in early 2019. The non-gaming luxury beachfront hotel will feature 500 rooms and suites, a 40,000-square foot convention center, a 25,000-square foot full-service spa, three fine dining restaurants, an array of amenities including an entertainment venue, pools, cabanas, fitness center, tennis courts and access to the two signature golf courses. The beach-front property will be situated in the Puerto Los Cabos Tourist Corridor and the San Jose del Cabo resort city on the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula.The announcement of the Puerto Los Cabos project follows last week’s announcement that Caesars Entertainment will manage two luxury hotels and a beach club at Meraas’ Dubai-based Bluewaters Island development. (KGTV) -- Police in Carlsbad are investigating following an apparent murder-suicide Tuesday afternoon.Police were contacted by the family of a man who reportedly said he had killed his wife around noon Tuesday.Investigators discovered that the man was driving around the southern part of Carlsbad in his car.When officers found the vehicle they discovered a deceased 89-year-old passenger and a deceased 92-year-old driver inside.At this time, the circumstances surrounding the incident are unclear. CAMPO, Calif. (KGTV) -- Three people were taken to the hospital and two others are in custody after a Border Patrol chase led to a crash in Campo Tuesday night. According to Border Patrol, agents tried to stop a 23-year-old San Diego resident driving a blue Mazda MPV around 5:05 p.m. near Old Highway 80 and McCain Valley Road for possible immigration-related violations. The driver refused to stop, sparking the chase. During the chase, agents say the woman drove onto Shasta Way at a “high rate of speed” before driving over a dip and losing control of the vehicle.
