HANGZHOU, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- China's digital economy reached 35.8 trillion yuan (5.45 trillion U.S. dollars) in 2019, accounting for 36.2 percent of the country's total GDP, according to a report released by the Chinese Academy of Cyberspace Studies.
"We once again urge the United States to stop such unilateral and bullying behaviors, and give Chinese and other foreign companies fair treatment," the spokesperson said. "The United States should do more to enhance China-U.S. economic and trade cooperation and promote global economic recovery."

To go in line with the development trends of fintech innovation, supervising technologies and regulations need to be developed, said Lu Shuchun, secretary-general of the National Internet Finance Association of China.
This year is an unusual year in the history of the People's Republic of China, as the country faces severe and complicated international situations, arduous tasks in seeking reform, development and stability at home, and heavy blows from the COVID-19 epidemic in particular, the meeting said.
As China moves to stimulate the digital economy, the demand for digital infrastructure is massive, calling for cooperation among companies to satisfy these needs, he noted.
