Actor and comedian Tim Conway, best known for his work on "The Carol Burnett Show," died on Tuesday morning in Los Angeles, according to his publicist.Conway was 85.He had been battling a longtime illness prior to his death, Howard Bragman, Conway's representative, told CNN. According to AAA's annual projection released on Thursday, 55 million Americans are expected to travel this year for Thanksgiving, making it the busiest Thanksgiving for travel since 2005.AAA said it expects a 2.9 percent increase in traffic over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend from last year, which marks about 1.5 million additional travelers. A new study found 9/11 first responders may face a heightened risk of developing leukemia, nearly two decades after the terror attacks.Moshe Shapiro is a biostatistician with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. His team studied 29,000 members of the World Trade Center Health Program, which consists of police officers and other recovery workers.“Leukemia, we found a 41% increase in incidence compared to the general population,” Shapiro told PIX11.Researchers have long known about the substances recovery workers were exposed to in the dust and debris. A New York woman drowned Friday while taking part in a stand-up paddleboard yoga class on Long Island, police said.Lisa Margaritis, 48, an experienced paddleboarder, was trying to help another woman who was struggling in the strong current under a bridge in Hashamomuck Pond when Margaritis' paddleboard got caught on a bridge piling and she fell in, Southold Police chief Martin Flatley said in a news release.Because she was tethered to the board, Margaritis wasn't able to free herself, Flatley said.A jogger passing by jumped in and was able to free Margaritis from the piling and bring her to land, he said.Southold police, the fire department's rescue squad and a hospital paramedic arrived and began CPR. A suspect accused of fatally shooting an Illinois deputy assigned to a US Marshals task force while the deputy was trying to serve a warrant in Rockford on Thursday morning will face murder charges, authorities said.Deputy Jacob Keltner, who was with McHenry County Sheriff's Office for almost 13 years, was shot outside the suspect's room, Rockford Police Chief Dan O'Shea said.
