TERRE HAUTE (AP) — The U.S. government has executed a former soldier who said an obsession with witchcraft led him to kill a Georgia nurse he believed had put a spell on him. William Emmett LeCroy is the sixth federal inmate put to death this year at the U.S. prison in Terre Haute. Before that, there had been a 17-year hiatus without any federal executions. Lawyers had asked President Donald Trump in a petition to commute LeCroy's sentence for killing Joann Lee Tiesler in 2001. TAMPA, Fla. — The parents of the accused Seminole Heights, Florida killer are officially under house arrest after being held in contempt of court for refusing to answer prosecutor's questions.Howell Donaldson Jr. and Rosita Donaldson were booked into the Orient County Jail on Wednesday morning before being released to fulfill their house arrest.The couple is being placed on GPS monitoring, during their house arrest. They could be under house arrest for a maximum of 5 months and 29 days. TAHLEQUAH, Okla. - The Cherokee Nation issued a statement on Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren's DNA test results.Warren released her DNA report in response to President Donald Trump taunting her for her saying she was part Native American.Warren released her 23 and Me report and it stated that "the great majority of (Warren's) identifiable ancestry is European." Starting a business can be hard - it takes a lot more than renting an office and printing business cards.But a new group is launching in San Diego to help women take control of their careers.Dames Collective promises to connect female entrepreneurs to key resources and help them network, so they can launch their own businesses."We don't want to just stand by the sideline and watch women trying to start their own business. We want to help them thrive," said Chanel Sonego, who founded the group with Brittney Hogan.San Diego Attorney Kelly DuFord says her life was a lot different when she had a boss."I was working at least 80 hours a week, and I would bring my work home with me," she said. She says she was missing out on valuable time with her young daughters, so she and her husband Craig launched their own law firm. DuFord still works a lot, but on her own terms - she says she takes time off on Monday mornings and some Wednesdays, but works Saturday nights. DuFord, who does employment law and business formation, says she makes more now than she did when she had a boss."You might be doing something that you don't even know you can make a business out of, but if you are passionate about it and you can do a common thing uncommonly well, you can start your own business," she said. Memberships at Dames Collective are a month, but Sonego says the group is working on lower cost options for students. The city of San Diego also has guidelines for starting a business, including 10 key steps entrepreneurs need to make.   1605

Steve Wynn will not be getting severance pay following his resignation from Wynn Resorts earlier this month.RELATED: Las Vegas police receive two reports of sexual misconduct by Steve WynnAccording to a document filed Feb. 15 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and signed by new Wynn Resorts CEO Matthew Maddox, Wynn will not receive any other compensation. He also cannot compete against the company for two years.The separation agreement also notes that Wynn must leave his residence at Wynn Las Vegas by June 1 and pay fair market rent until that date. Wynn can terminate the lease before that date. Wnny wll also cease to have administrative support after May 31 and health insurance through the company after Dec. 31, according to the document. Wynn's employment with Wynn Resorts began on Oct. 4, 2002 and ended on Feb. 6, 2018. He resigned following allegations of sexual misconduct. The document also acknowledges that Wynn agrees to cooperate with Wynn Resorts Board of Directors investigation into his time at the company.
