After Fox News host Sean Hannity accused late night comedian Jimmy Kimmel of being a "pervert," Kimmel said on Sunday that he is ending his war of words with Hannity. Kimmel drew Hannity's ire earlier this week after Kimmel played a clip of First Lady Melania Trump reading to children during the White House Easter Egg Roll. Kimmel then joked with his sidekick, who is often lampooned on the show for having a thick accent, saying that he could be First Lady. "Jimmy, you're a despicable disgrace," Hannity told Kimmel. "Ass clown Kimmel," Hannity added. Kimmel responded to the criticism on Thursday's show by calling Hannity an "ass circus." Hannity then fired a number of tweets with the hashtag #PervertKimmel and calling Kimmel "Harvey Weinstein Jr.," a response to a "Man Show" segment where Kimmel would ask women to guess what is in his pants. The segment involved Kimmel asking women to feel the outside of his pockets to guess what was hidden inside. Kimmel by responding that Hannity was trivializing "the horrors of Harvey Weinstein by comparing them to televised comedy bits in which every woman was a willing participant who gladly signed a release.""Stop picking on woman that can’t fightback Mr Harvey Weinstein jr," Hannity responded. All across our country, small business owners are fighting day in and day out to stay afloat during these uncertain times.Two small business owners in Utah have seen just about everything in their lifetimes, and their resolve to keep going is inspiring.In the heart of Sugarhouse, Utah, there’s a place that uses perhaps more sugar than anywhere else.“We bake a lot of eclairs,” said Bob Walkenhorst with a smile.Bob is 87-years-old and his older brother, Al, is 92-years-old.For almost six decades, Bob and Al Walkenhorst have been showing up to work at Carol’s Pastry Shop in a suburb of Salt Lake City.“I get up every morning at 5:30 and get down here about 6 am,” Bob said.“We have a lousy retirement plan,” added Al with a chuckle.The co-owners mix together like peanut butter and jelly.“We get along good together,” Bob said. “We’ve never had an argument.”They say baking is in their blood.“My dad came over to this country in 1924 and this was the bakery,“ Al said pointing to and old black-and-white photo.The brothers were separated when Uncle Sam came calling.“In 1950, I got drafted for the Korean War, just started, so I pulled Bob out of high school and he took over at the bakery,” Al said. “When I came home, he left for two years to serve.”They have seen their fair share of change.“There isn’t really any little bakeries opened up anymore,” Al said. “They’re dropping by the wayside.”Since March, it’s not big box stores making business tough, it’s a new, bitter ingredient.“It was just after that virus hit,” Bob said. “We stayed open and never closed, but it’s been slow. There is just nobody coming in.”Owning a small business is tough, but COVID-19 is making it even harder.“We depend on all that business just what comes in the door,” Al said. “We aren’t getting those big orders anymore.”The brothers hope to keep making eclairs and fresh donuts for as many years as they can.“Hard work is what keeps us going and gives us something to do,” Al said.Now, the next generation is pitching in.“I love getting to work with my grandpa and great uncle,” said Conner Johnson. “They are amazing.”Bob and Al want to keep Carol’s Pastry Shop in the family.“I don’t know what’s gonna happen in the future,” Johnson said. “It’s hard to tell what’s going to happen even day by day now.”For now, the brothers plan on showing up every day.“COVID is not going to stop these guys,” Johnson said with a laugh.Al listened in and smiled.“You know, it’s like my father used to tell me; if you put in good work and good ingredients, then you always get a good product out of it,” Al said. “We’ve always used the best ingredients there is.” 2647

A mom in Port St. Lucie, Florida said she wants to know how her 9-year-old son wound up at the end of his bus route, miles away from home, without his bus driver noticing him fast asleep in the bus.“I understand children can fall asleep, but at the end of the route why didn’t she check?" Rebecca Council said. "Why did she drive miles and then he wakes up, he’s scared, he’s unsure of where he is. She’s alone with my child.”“I was just scared," Trevor Council said.Trevor got on the bus as normal Wednesday afternoon at Windmill Point Elementary, where he attends third grade."We put so much trust into the school system to take care of our children," Rebecca said.But then, Trevor fell asleep and missed his drop off at Newport Isles just after 3 p.m.Soon after, his mom got a frantic phone call from his stepmom saying Trevor hadn't come home from school."My heart immediately it felt like it dropped into my stomach," Rebecca said.Trevor's dad tried calling the school district and was told his bus had been running on time."The parents having to track down their child when we’re entrusting our school bus drivers with the safety of our children. We should not have to be the ones trying to track down the location of our children," Rebecca said.In the meantime, Trevor’s bus continued five miles away to the Mako soccer fields with Trevor fast asleep in a seat. He eventually woke up while the bus was parked there.“I stand up and say where was I and the bus driver was like, 'What?'" Trevor said. "She didn’t know I was still on the bus.”He said he wrote down his name for the bus driver and ended up being carted around another school’s route before being brought back to his own bus stop, just before 5 p.m.“No one bothered to call the father, the mother, stepmother, no one,” Rebecca said.After about 45 minutes, Trevor’s dad eventually got an answer from transportation.“The guy just told them he’s fine, he fell asleep," Rebecca said.But that answer isn’t enough. Rebecca said she wants to know how this happened.“I want to understand how that’s possible that the bus driver didn’t at least double check and make sure that every child was off the bus," she said.“I just don’t want it to happen to anybody else," Trevor said.St. Lucie County School District didn't respond by the end of the day Thursday to requests for comment. 2368

ALPINE (CNS) - A 7-year old tiger at Alpine's Lions Tigers & Bears animal rescue facility died of injuries inflicted by a fellow tiger, it was announced Tuesday.Maverick suffered fatal injuries after he and the other tiger -- Moka - - were accidentally allowed to come into contact with one another on Monday. The animals were living in separate enclosures, according to Lions Tigers & Bears founder Bobbi Brink, who said no staff or visitors were harmed.The staff veterinarian assessed both animals afterward. Moka has scratches, but no serious injuries."This was a human error, and one we're so deeply heartbroken about," Brink said. "When caring for a 400-plus-pound apex predator, layered safety measures must be established, and this is exactly what we've implemented at our accredited sanctuary since our founding."Unfortunately, one of our safety measures was mistakenly missed, and because these magnificent, massive animals are wild, their reactions to their surroundings -- especially new situations -- are unpredictable," she said.According to Brink, the nonprofit organization regularly conducts staff safety trainings, including one on emergency protocols last weekend. She said the protocols will be reviewed extensively this week.Maverick was rescued on April 20, 2014, at 9 months old. He was born in captivity and purchased illegally by someone who did not have the proper licensing to own an exotic animal. California Fish & Wildlife personnel seized Maverick and reached out to Lions Tigers & Bears to provide him with a home."There is an inherent risk when keeping apex predators in captivity, and we would like nothing more than to see an end to this, but until then, and as long as our sanctuary is needed, we will continue to be there for these animals in need," Brink said. "Maverick, we will miss your friendly chuffs and curious, fun-loving spirit. Rest easy our sweet boy, run free, and keep on swimming." 1956
