In the video, posted on Facebook, Santa is seen being thrust forward as the float he’s riding on seemingly malfunctions. Luckily, Santa was okay. Later in the video, he can be seen climbing down a ladder on the float uninjured. An Arizona mother has been arrested after police found audio recordings of her threatening to kill her abused infant. Mesa police report that on Wednesday morning, 18-year-old Leticia Stella Palos, was arrested in Casa Grande for child abuse.Investigators say on July 7, a 3-month-old boy was taken to Cardon’s Children Hospital for an injured right arm. Doctors discovered that his upper arm was broken. Doctors also allegedly found multiple bruises and fractures to three ribs in various states of healing. Police say the doctors determined that these injuries were "highly suspicious for non-accidental trauma."Detectives checked Palos' cell phone and reportedly found multiple recordings sent from her to the boy's father, where they heard the boy breathing "heavy and fast."In other recordings, they reportedly heard the child screaming. Palos was also heard in the recordings threatening to "throw the victim in the trash," and "that she is going to kill the victim."She also allegedly referenced drug use in the recordings.She is being held on a ,000 bond for child abuse.If you suspect a child is being abused, the Arizona Department of Child Services has resources available to report the issue to a social worker. As businesses across the country deal with the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Country Time Lemonade is making sure the country's "littlest entrepreneurs" get the same help.The Littlest Bailout is an economic relief program aimed at helping kids start lemonade stands. Kids who are 14 and younger can get a 0 "stimulus check," which comes in the form of a prepaid card.Country Time says the money is to help kids "preserve the values of lemonade stands, honest work, and entrepreneurship."To apply, parents must upload an essay, 250 words or less, that answers the question, "How would your child use their stimulus check to juice the economy?"Parents must also upload a picture of the lemonade stand sign their child/children were going to use. The limit is one entry per household.According to the official rules, the company plans to give out 1,000 of the prepaid cards.There is no purchase necessary and the program ends on Aug. 12. An Ohio woman is filing a lawsuit against the Montgomery County Jail claiming excessive force was used against her.Marsha Pate-Strickland is suing the Montgomery county jail for this video-tapped incident.It happened back in 2015.Pate-Strickland says it all began when she asked a corrections officer at the jail if she could exchange her juice for milk.In the video, you can see the officer grab her and slam her to the floor.Pate-Strickland said she complained that her arm and shoulder were injured. But she refused medical attention.Now she claims she has permanent and debilitating injuries.Officials with the Montgomery County jail have not commented on the lawsuit. 710

As Democrats remain nervous over the status of the Senate and White House, Democrats will likely retain the House.This comes despite losing some ground so far in the House. As of 3:30 a.m. ET, Democrats have flipped two seats in their favor, while Republicans have flipped six, resulting in a net gain for the GOP of four. Democrats can afford to lose 14 seats and retain a majority in the House.All six seats Republicans flipped on Tuesday were ones that Democrats flipped in 2018. The two seats gained by Democrats both came in North Carolina. Deborah Ross took the state’s second congressional district, while Kathy Manning won the state’s sixth congressional district. Both seats were open as the two GOP incumbents were not in the general election.The Republicans gained a seat in Florida’s 26th district as Carlos Gimenez upended incumbent Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell. Mucarsel-Powell was only a one-term member of Congress as she herself defeated an incumbent GOP representative. The Florida 27th was also a turnover for Republicans, as Maria Elvira Salazar defeated Rep. Donna Shalala, who was a freshman first elected in 2018. In South Carolina, Nancy Mace narrowly defeated Rep. Joe Cunningham. In Minnesota, Michelle Fischbach defeated Rep. Collin Peterson by what appears to be a sizable margin.
