SANAA, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese military vessel arrived in the Aden port Saturday on a goodwill official visit for the coming several days, official SABA news agency reported.     The Chinese military vessel, named Chan Dokouh, is affiliated with the Chinese naval fleet now cruising in the international waters, SANA said.     The military ship and its crew were received by a number of senior Yemeni military and security officials at the southern military naval base in Aden, said the report.     The visit of the Chinese military vessel to Aden port came as part of the joint bilateral cooperation between Yemen and China, particularly in fighting terrorism, counter-smuggling, combating piracy and ensuring safety of navigation through international waterways, added the report.

COPENHAGEN, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao met here with U.S. President Barack Obama on Friday to discuss climate change.     Wen said climate change is a global challenge and an important field for cooperation between China and the United States.     The key to this issue is to stick to the principle of "common but differentiated responsibilities," said Wen.     The Chinese government has announced its goal of controlling greenhouse gas emissions, which demonstrates China's sincerity and determination to deal with climate change, and work with the international community on this issue, said the Chinese premier. Therefore, China should not be required to adopt the same measures as the United States or other developed countries.     Obama said he appreciated China's willingness to have transparency on its voluntary emission reduction measures. BEIJING, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor Liu Yandong Wednesday said China will broaden international exchanges and learn from other countries in heritage protection.     "China will strengthen cooperation with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and other international organizations," Liu said at a ceremony held here Wednesday marking the 30th founding anniversary of China's National Commission for UNESCO.     "The Chinese government will keep carrying out international conventions and actively explore scientific laws and effective methods in heritage protection," Liu said.     China will stick to the principle of "preservation first" and avoid over-exploitation and destructive construction, Liu said.     China is a country with rich cultural and natural heritage. So far, a total of 38 heritage sites in the country have been included in the World Heritage List, and 29 kinds of non-material cultural heritage have been included in the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
