A prayer rally was held over the weekend for a 33-year-old man who died after being arrested by sheriff’s deputies in a Southern California grocery store.The man, Ernie Serrano, was at the store last Tuesday night in line to pay for his items. Sheriff’s deputies say when they arrived at the store, they saw Serrano tussling with a security guard and attempting to take the guard’s gun, according to a department press release.“While detaining Serrano, he continued fighting with the deputies and did not comply with their commands. At that time, a use of force occurred,” Sgt. Lionel Murphy with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department states in the release.Serrano was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Deputies say Serrano then stopped breathing. "Medical personnel on scene rendered aid and was able to obtain a pulse. Serrano was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. While at the hospital, Serrano’s condition deteriorated, and he was later pronounced deceased," the department states. A North Carolina pastor who led a march to the polls over the weekend that ended with police pepper-spraying participants says he will lead another march on Election Day.On Saturday, Rev. Greg Drumwright led the "I Am Change" march in Graham, North Carolina, from a local AME Church to the Alamance County Courthouse.According to the Raleigh News & Observer, the march included a moment of silence for George Floyd, who was killed during an arrest in Minnesota this summer and whose death sparked a nationwide protest movement against police brutality.Following that moment of silence, the News & Observer reports that deputies and police officers used pepper spray on the crowd and began arresting participants. At least one journalist covering the event was arrested.Some participants told the News & Observer that they were given little warning as to the officer's decision to shut down the event. The Associated Press reports that Graham Police say they issued several warnings to the crowd to move from the roadway before releasing pepper spraying and later arresting eight people.On Sunday, Drumwright confirmed in a TV interview that he intends to finish the march on Election Day. A nationwide onion recall this summer is hitting meal prep kits. HelloFresh is urging customers to throw away onions from certain meals recently shipped out.The meal prep home delivery company says they were informed by one of their suppliers it is voluntarily recalling onions because of a potential presence of salmonella bacteria.Thomson International, Inc., based in California, issued a recall of all onions distributed after May 1 because of potential contamination with salmonella bacteria. They are a large supplier of onions, and the recall has impacted grocery stores and restaurants in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Canada.All onions received between May 8 and July 31 should be discarded. In addition, HelloFresh recommends customers use extra caution in disinfecting and sanitizing surfaces or containers that may have come into contact with onions in their meal prep kits during this time period.For a list of impacted products, see the list of product codes below provided by HelloFresh. A robbery suspect calls himself a modern-day "Robin Hood," but he’s facing charges after thefts from construction sites in Port St. Lucie.Police said Thomas Paul Sauer, 50, was caught on surveillance video stealing appliances from at least two homes under construction.Security video shows a red SUV pulling up to a home in, a passenger getting out of the car, opening the garage door, then the SUV backing into the garage.On Sunday a Port St. Lucie police officer came across the suspect's vehicle, a 2005 Hyundai SUV, parked in a driveway about two-and-a-half miles away from the robbery.On Monday, detectives went to the home where the suspect's vehicle was still parked. While at the home, detectives met with Sauer who lives at the address. Sauer later admitted to taking a 0 washer and dryer from the first house, and an ,800 refrigerator out of a second house.Sauer told police that "he was like Robin Hood." A postal worker's union says that USPS employees were not involved in an incident that led to several unopened mail bags dumped in two separate locations in Glendale, California, last week.On Thursday, KTLA-TV in Los Angeles obtained surveillance footage that showed a Budget rental truck pulling into the parking lot of Glendale spa.That morning, at about 5:40 a.m. local time, the truck pulled into the parking lot of 7Q Spa Laser & Aesthetics and began pulling bags of unopened mail and packages out of the truck. The truck later pulled away, leaving the mail behind.About two hours after the truck initially pulled up at 7Q, the Glendale Police Department received a call about a second large pile of mail that was found in an alley about a half a mile away.It's unclear if the two instances are related. The Los Angeles Times reported Friday that the Glendale Police Department had opened investigations into the incidents.On Tuesday, Omar Gonzalez, the Western Regional Coordinator for the American Postal Workers Union, told CNN that the person caught on surveillance footage dumping mail was a "contractor," and not a USPS employee.It's unclear how the mail made it on to a Budget rental truck.
