President Donald Trump urged his supporters Friday not to boycott two Senate runoff elections in Georgia in January that will determine which party has control of the chamber. His tweet comes after Politico reported Thursday that his continued attacks on Georgia's electoral system have disillusioned his voters and caused some to call for a boycott of the vote.In addition, Politico reports that some of Trump's most ardent supporters on Twitter and the conservative-learning social media platform Parler are accusing the two Republican candidates up for election — Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue — of being "insufficiently pro-Trump" and complicit in the voter fraud conspiracies. On Friday morning, Trump retweeted a Newsmax story about a potential boycott of the Georgia vote. In his tweet, Trump tried to walk the line between continuing to push fraud claims while still rallying the vote."No, the 2020 Election was a total scam, we won by a lot (and will hopefully turn over the fraudulent result), but we must get out and help David and Kelly, two GREAT people," he tweeted. "Otherwise we are playing right into the hands of some very sick people. I will be in Georgia on Saturday!" 1202

President Donald Trump's administration plans to propose a new rule Friday that would bar abortions at facilities receiving federal family planning funds, according to two people familiar with the plans -- a move aimed squarely at Planned Parenthood, which accepts some federal money for non-abortion services.Long sought by conservatives, the step would take the administration's push to curtail abortions further. There are already laws in place that prevent federal money from directly funding abortions, but groups like Planned Parenthood still accept federal dollars for services like annual screenings and checkups."This proposal does not necessarily defund Planned Parenthood, as long as they're willing to disentangle taxpayer funds from abortion as a method of family planning, which is required by the Title X law," said a Trump administration official. "Any grantees that perform, support, or refer for abortion have a choice -- disentangle themselves from abortion or fund their activities with privately raised funds."Under the new rule, those services would have to be performed in a different place than abortions, and by different employees, if the facility is to continue receiving federal family planning dollars.Planned Parenthood receives some of its funding from those programs, known as Title X. But the bulk of the federal money it receives comes from Medicaid, and would not be affected by the new rule.The-CNN-Wire 1447
RANCHO PENASQUITOS -- A group of residents in Rancho Pe?asquitos is sounding the alarm about a trio of dense developments that could add 1,500 housing units within 1.5 miles of each other. The group, called PQ-NE Action, notes the northwest part of Rancho Pe?asquitos only has one road in and out. They are raising concerns that the road could not handle the influx in the case of an emergency, such as a wildfire evacuation. "We fully understand things are going to change, but not change to a point where the neighborhood becomes threatened from a safety standpoint," said Junaid Razvi, a 40-year resident and spokesman for the group. Two more could be on the site of the Hotel Karlan, which shut down Dec. 31. The hotel portion of the property could be rebuilt into as many as 370 homes. The Encinitas-area development company that owns it did not respond to requests for comment. Meanwhile, Lennar is proposing to build more than 530 new housing units on the hotel's old golf course.PQ-NE Action is now calling on Councilman Mark Kersey to step in. "They are moving fast on this, and so we would like to see a pause," Razvi said.
