BEL AIR, Md  - Crews found the cause of a car fire to be a bit squirrelly...literally.Officials with the Bel Air, Maryland Volunteer Fire Company say they extinguished a car fire last Monday in the 1500 block of Rock Spring Road. Upon putting out the flames, firefighters discovered squirrel and nesting debris in the engine compartment.The incident was captured on video by the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company. 438

Black and white Miami Dolphins players and coach Brian Flores have released a video on social media saying they’ll protest racial injustice by remaining in their locker room during the national anthem. The two-minute, 15-second video featured nearly 20 players trading stern rhymes about the nation’s social protest movement. The NFL plans to play the national anthem and “Lift Every Voice and Sing” — the Black national anthem — before every game this weekend, including the Dolphins’ opener Sunday at New England. BONITA (KGTV) -- Neighbors in Bonita say their street is becoming congested with "toll dodgers" - drivers who are going out of their way to avoid paying the .55 toll on State Route 125.   It's not just the traffic buildup that neighbors find concerning, it's that these drivers are often speeding - right past an elementary school, parks and horse tracks. In a community meeting Tuesday, the City shared plans to fix the issues on Briarwood and San Miguel Ranch roads. RELATED: Drivers dodging tolls on SR 125 cause problems in South Bay neighborhood"There's a lot of concern about people trying to evade the tolls," said Greg  Cox, with the San Diego County Board of Supervisors. As a result, Cox said the City lowered the speed limit on San Miguel Road to 25 mph and placed a stop sign at a popular horse crossing. They also plan to intall a traffic signal at Sunnyside Elementary School. "If the County can secure a grant for the funding, that could be done within the next year," Cox said. John Scott has been in the neighborhood since the mid 1980s. BOSTON (AP) — The story of Buddy the Elf meeting his biological father has come to life, just in time for the holidays.Doug Henning of Eliot, Maine, wore a costume to look like Will Ferrell in the movie “Elf” while meeting his father face to face for the first time last week at Logan Airport in Boston.He even broke into the same awkward song from the movie. Henning told Boston.com that his biological father “probably thought I was a lunatic.”The dad didn’t get the joke because he hadn’t seen the movie, but that didn’t stop him from giving his son a big hug while other family members laughed and cheered.Henning said the family eventually did sit down and watch the movie together as a family.Henning told Boston.com that he grew up with amazing adoptive parents, but he wanted to know more about his heritage, so he used Ancestry.com.
