LAKESIDE (CNS) - A pedestrian was struck and killed Friday by a bus in the unincorporated community of Lakeside, near Santee.The crash was reported at 5:45 p.m. at 12250 Woodside Ave., according to the California Highway Patrol.Firefighters worked to save the pedestrian's life. It was not immediately known if the patient was taken to a hospital or pronounced dead at the scene. 387

LAS VEGAS — Neighbors in the southwest part of Las Vegas are fed up over the wild scenes playing out in their area which have included flame throwers, rocket launchers, strippers and buses full of people as the Strip's night and day clubs remain closed.For weeks, Las Vegas police have been dealing with a sharp rise in complaints regarding "party houses," some of which have been the scenes for shootings and murders.Neighbors near one home on Sunset Road and Jones Boulevard say they are living next to a nightmare."It's a party going madhouse out here," Tony Grant said.Grant and his wife Nanette, who is battling breast cancer, say the for past six months, people have been arriving to their neighborhood by bus, car and rideshares.Videos shows dozens, if not hundreds, of people at the home, which at times includes laser light shows, loud music and nearly-naked women.Online, the venue is billed as a day and nightclub available for gatherings and parties for ,500 a day."There's fire-based entertainment, including flamethrowers, and rocket launchers that are being set off within obviously 10- to 15-feet of 50-foot pine trees and homes," Hadas Grant said.Online records show Las Vegas police have taken more than a half dozen reports for "disturbing the peace" in the 5800 block of Patrick Lane since April 2020.Records obtained by Clark County show authorities have placed administrative actions on the home, and fines have totaled 0.The Grants say the gatherings have continued."On the day the citation was placed on the door, that Tuesday night was one of the largest gatherings or events that they've ever had, they're laughing in the face of code enforcement," Tony Grant said.Interview requests to the group promoting the gatherings were not returned. Law enforcement authorities are searching for a man who's suspected of threatening to shoot President Donald Trump.Shawn Richard Christy, of McAdoo, Pennsylvania, was last seen in Cumberland, Maryland, Sunday night driving a stolen vehicle, according to the authorities.The US Marshals Service is offering ,000 for information leading to Christy's arrest. Christy has been wanted on a June 19 federal warrant, accused of posting threats on Facebook against the President and Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli.According to officials, Christy posted, "Keep it up Morganelli, I promise I'll put a bullet in your head as soon as I put one in the head of President Donald J. Trump."Christy is a 27-year-old white man who stands at 5 feet 10 inches and weighs about 160 pounds, according to a flyer released by the FBI. He has short dark blond hair, a large tattoo on his right upper arm of a "pointed cross and barbed wire," and speaks with a distinct lisp.Kentucky State Police said that upon reviewing surveillance footage it appears on Aug. 9 Christy stole a green 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a black hood from the residence of Timothy Gilliam. Gilliam is the brother of Dakota Meyer, a Medal of Honor recipient and former husband of Bristol Palin.Christy could be driving another stolen vehicle at this point, according to authorities.Christy is also wanted on Pennsylvania state warrants for "burglary, probation violation, and failure to appear for an aggravated assault case," according to the marshals, and threatened to use "full lethal force on any law enforcement officer that tries to detain me."The FBI, US Secret Service and US Marshals Service are seeking the public's assistance in locating Christy, who is armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
