A Las Vegas, Nevada woman says she wants out of her apartment lease after a series of unexplained events.Terri Bell says she moved into her Patriots Place Apartment in December 2017 located near Flamingo and Pecos Road. She signed a 12-month lease but soon after she moved in she claims strange things started to happen."At first, I thought maybe it was just my daughter or my grandkids moving through the house," said Bell.Bell says she finally had enough when an object in her apartment moved without explanation. Bell claims a new bottle of bleach came off a shelf and hit a near by wall."It got outrageous, lights were going on and off," said Bell. "Behind the sofa, there's an outlet where sparks flew and fire shout out of it!" explained Bell.Bell enlisted the help of a Catholic priest, a pastor and a paranormal investigator to look into her apartment.KTNV television station in Las Vegas spoke to Pastor Tony Peoples from the Genesis II Christian Center and he confirms he visited the apartment and sensed something was out of the ordinary.Psychic medium Tena Evans along with Paranormal Task Force was contacted to conduct an investigation."Our monitors were hitting max and that is unusual," said Evans.Evans says a team of people inspected the apartment and found evidence of possible paranormal activity."What you do have to be is a skeptic going into a job like this," explained Evans. You just can't assume it's going to be a spirit and you are going to capture it," said Evans.Evans says voice and sound recordings did not capture anything unusual during the investigation."We have to look for electrical problems or certain plumbing problems," said Evans.However, photos taken within the apartment show possible signatures of paranormal evidence, according to Evans."Orbs are sometimes just dust, it can be anything, different lights, whatever is going on," said Evans. "These orbs are big and it is evident that this is not something that the camera or lighting, or dust is creating," said Evans.Evans believes the phenomenon are associated with the land and not the building.KTNV consulted with Mark Hall-Patton, who is the administrator for Clark County Museum and expert on Clark County History about the parcel of land."There wasn't a lot going on," said Hall-Patton about the area going back as far as ancient times.Indigenous people likely avoided the desolate and arid landscape in favor or more accessible water sources and fertile farming land, according to Hall-Patton.Hall-Patton points to maps, satellite views and deeds dating back to 1970 which shows the lot was vacant."It's a fairly anonymous little chunk of land that didn't develop until relatively recently," added Hall-Patton.Hall-Patton says there was no significant historical event that occurred on the property.Bell began using black salt, sage and various types of crystals to keep her unit nice and quiet.Ultimately, Bell would like to move out of her apartment. Contact 13 reviewed the lease and it did not contain an option to break the contract early for her situation.Apartment ownership, Accessible Space, Inc., said there is likely a plausible and mechanical explanation for the strange occurrences. A spokesperson tells KTNV the building is new and still under warranty. Power problems, odors and unfamiliar noises are common in new buildings but management will have the general contractor investigate the claims to make sure everything is in order.The building's ownership says they will work with Bell to make sure she understands her options. 3615

A couple of Las Vegas newlyweds made an extremely selfless move by asking their wedding guests to donate to their favorite animal rescue organization in lieu of wedding gifts.Jessica Rauch and Tony Lopez feel fortunate they were able to make a decision like this."We're very blessed to have a lot of the things that we would already need in life," said Rauch.They're also both dog lovers."We both great up with dogs and love animals very much."They decided to put their heads together and figure out how they could give back on their wedding day."Both of us really like to give back and volunteer for nonprofits and we like to live our lives in a charitable way so we thought hey what better tribute than to encourage our friends and family, if they want to give us a gift, to donate to A Home 4 Spot," said Rauch.The couple recently adopted their two dogs from A Home 4 Spot?and loves the way they operate."We didn't know much about them but they were this amazing group of volunteers foster the puppies in their homes and when we met them, and the volunteers, and then of course they introduced us to Shorty, we fell in love with the whole operation."All the pieces came together and donating to their cause was what the couple wanted to do."Our friends and family were so generous and really stepped up to the plate."The couple was able to write a check for ,000 to the animal rescue group."Everything matters and so any donation that they receive goes to food or leashes or anything they need to keep the operation running."Rauch says the rescue group was ecstatic."(They were) over the moon thrilled and we couldn't be happier that that was the decision that we made."Also, instead of having their wedding party hold flowers to walk down the aisle, each member carried a shelter dog instead. 1806

A man shot by a Cuyahoga County, Ohio Sheriff's deputy near Cleveland on I-90 on Thursday has died.The medical examiner identified the man as Brett Luengo, 33, of Westlake, Ohio. He was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center where he was treated, expired and pronounced dead last night. Luengo was a prominent businessman who was the CEO and Vice President of ConstructAbility Inc., a construction services firm in Westlake.The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce awarded ConstructAbility with an award in 2017.The shooting took place along Interstate 90 near West Boulevard Thursday evening.The scene led to a major police presence and traffic back-up in the eastbound lanes between West 44th Street and West Boulevard.The deputy involved was not injured.Witnesses say the incident started after a single-vehicle crash. The driver then got out of the SUV and was acting both erratically and violently to those trying to help him. Authorities say he was involved in an altercation when the deputy exited his own vehicle. When the deputy approached, the sheriff said Luengo "charged (the deputy) in an aggressive manner.""He kept screaming to shoot him. The cop kept asking him to roll over, put your hands behind your back. The man was not cooperating. He kept trying to get up and attack the police officer, he kept lunging at him," witness Jason Geiger said. "I think what happened at that point he ran out of taser cartridges because at that point he shot the guy."Authorities say the deputy fired one shot. A lawsuit has been filed against the County of San Diego and the former Assistant Sheriff for sexual harassment and retaliation.The employee began working for the Sheriff’s Department in 2010 at the Vista Detention Facility, according to the lawsuit.Team 10 is not naming her because she said she is a victim of sexual harassment. The woman worked as Administration Secretary for the Detention Services Bureau at the Sheriff’s Headquarters.She alleges in her lawsuit that on at least five separate occasions, “Miller inappropriate hugged [her] and thrusted his crotch area into her so that she would feel his penis against her.”She said the first three times she was hugged in an inappropriate manner was when he was a Commander.RELATED: San Diego County Assistant Sheriff accused of 'inappropriate conduct'?The two most recent times were after he was promoted to Assistant Sheriff. She alleged “Miller demoted her in retaliation for her rejection of his sexual advances and efforts to avoid further harassment by him.”Team 10 contacted the Sheriff’s Department late Monday. A spokesperson said Miller is no longer with the department, since he retired.She added they cannot comment on pending lawsuits. A green SUV sought after a 13-year-old girl was abducted outside her home in North Carolina has been spotted on surveillance video, authorities say.The stolen vehicle is believed to have been used in the kidnapping of Hania Noelia Aguilar, authorities said.It was caught on video in Lumberton, North Carolina, minutes after the girl was taken outside her home Monday morning.Lumberton police and the FBI are asking local residents with a camera or video surveillance systems to save the video and contact them, even if they don't see the vehicle in the footage.According to the FBI, Hania is Hispanic, about 5 feet tall and 126 pounds.
