The hurricane that swept ashore in Louisiana less than 24 hours ago has weakened to a tropical depression and is bringing heavy rain to western Mississippi.The National Hurricane Center says maximum sustained winds of what was once Hurricane Delta were clocked at 35 mph at around 10 a.m. local time Saturday. The NCAA has announced Wednesday a series of major changes to college basketball in the hopes of eliminating corruption in the sport.The NCAA will now allow undergraduate students to participate in the NBA draft and return to school if they are not selected. Previously, players were allowed to attend the NBA combine but needed to withdraw 10 days prior to the draft in order to retain eligibility."Elite" high school prospects will now be permitted to be represented by an agent certified by the NCAA. According to CBS, USA Basketball will be tasked with choosing which prospects are considered "elite."The NCAA also announced major changes to the recruiting calendar, which the association hopes will allow recruits to attend more showcase events put on by high schools. Currently, apparel companies put on some of the most prestigious recruiting events.Finally, the NCAA will hold university presidents and chancellors personally accountable for their own athletics programs. The police officer was patrolling a local children's hospital in Argentina when she heard the sound of a crying baby. She knew it was a call she needed to answer.Officer Celeste Jaqueline Ayala had recently became a mother herself. She could tell from the wails the infant needed food. So, she sat down on a chair outside the hospital ward -- and breastfed him.The move took Ayala's colleague by surprise. The president of a California university is apologizing to one of his professors and her family after they were allegedly racially profiled on campus.In a thread on social media, Danielle Morgan outlined how officers escorted her brother to her house on campus at Santa Clara University over the weekend. She is an assistant professor in the College of Arts and Sciences.Morgan recalls that her brother came to the door and said the officers needed her to come out and “vouch for me.” Morgan told CNN she was asked to produce ID to prove who she was and where she lived.“I asked what the issue was and he (the officer) said my brother was ‘in the bushes’ and it was ‘suspicious’ and they thought he may have been homeless.
