DENVER — It was a dream wedding for Kacie and Troy Sanford, two Texans who tied the knot Friday in beautiful Berthoud, Colorado. Kacie's best friend, photographer Lenzi Holmes, flew up from Fort Worth, Texas, to photograph the event, shooting countless pictures she put on SD cards inside a case reminiscent of those old CD cases you would flip open to find what you were looking for. On Saturday, Holmes and her husband checked out of the Hilton Denver City Center hotel, then drove through Boulder and into the mountains to sightsee before flying back to Texas. At Denver International Airport, Holmes realized her SD case was gone. She grabbed a cab and frantically tried to retrace her steps. "I had a severe panic attack," she said. "I went to our car rental place, I went to the last place we filled up with gas, and dug through the trash there; I went back to the hotel."The pictures were nowhere to be found, and Holmes told KMGH she could barely find the strength to call the couple and tell them the news. When she did, she was stunned by Kacie's response."I told her I loved her. I love her and who she is and I wouldn't want anyone else there on my day," Kacie said. "We have one beautiful shot that we will keep forever, and if we cherish that one, we cherish that one... and it's OK."Holmes posted a plea on social media, offering a ,000 reward for the case. Now his livelihood is at risk after scientists say a change in ocean acidification is making it more difficult for oysters to form their shells and ultimately survive.“They’re like anything else; there’s strong one and a weaker one,” Van Herpe said of young oysters. To help protect his product, Van Herpe is getting seed grown in hatcheries. And in this multimillion-dollar industry, any increase in cost is ultimately passed on to you. “We’re going to have to charge our customers more,” Van Herpe said. At Humboldt Bay Provisions, workers are opening up about the change in the industry. “I’ve noticed it’s getting harder and harder to find the freshest oysters,” said one employee.Now this North Coast oyster restaurant is working with more oyster farmers to get this area’s most iconic seafood.“It’s really a source of pride for the people of Eureka and the people of Humboldt County that we have this right in our backyard,” the worker said. DENVER – The three detainees who escaped an immigration detention facility in Aurora on Sunday have been captured, officials announced on Friday.The escapees were found in three different locations but had spent several nights together in a safe house in Colorado Springs after the escape, according to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement news release.Amilcar Aguilar-Hernandez, 23, from El Salvador, who is currently a suspect in a rape case in Fort Carson, was found in Colorado Springs, where ICE officers took him into custody.Aguilar-Hernandez was sleeping at a job site to avoid being recaptured, an ICE news release said.
