QINGDAO, June 10 (Xinhua) -- Leaders of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states issued a declaration on Sunday at annual summit held in China's coastal city of Qingdao.
Today, the SCO stands as a comprehensive regional cooperation organization that covers the largest area and population in the world. Its member states, namely, China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, account for about 20 percent of the global economy and 40 percent of its population.
The senior economic official listed several areas for China's high quality development.
The Ugandan officials spoke highly of China's progress since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in 2012, appreciated China's assistance to Africa and expressed the willingness to enhance exchanges with the CPPCC so as to consolidate the foundation of Uganda-China friendship.
He added that with annual bilateral trade approaching 100 billion U.S. dollars, China stands ready to work with Russia to deepen their all-around cooperation, strengthen their comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination, and make new contribution to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
