By sheer number, Democrats have reason to celebrate post-midterms when it comes to seats for governor.In Wisconsin, Democrats ousted Republican incumbent Scott Walker by voting in former educator Tony Evers. It was also a surprise in Kansas, as the Democratic state legislator who beat staunch Trump supporter Kris Kobach describes her win as, “a wave of common sense.”Perhaps two of the biggest gubernatorial wins went to the Republicans—in Florida and in Ohio, two swing states that could boost the odds for Republicans in 2020.But the governor’s race that gained some of the biggest attention was the governor’s race in Georgia, where Democrat Stacey Abrams trails Republican Secretary of State Brian Kemp.Votes won’t be certified until next week, but the margin is so thin right now that Abrams believes they'll be headed for an automatic runoff election.In Georgia, a runoff is triggered when neither candidate reaches 50 percent.  Abrams' campaign says that could happen once absentee ballots are factored in."We feel we owe a fight to voters, to all voters, to make sur every vote is counted," says Lauren Groh-Wargo, Abrams’ campaign manager.Despite Abrams refusing to concede, Kemp sounded confident in his early morning speech, saying, “There are votes left to count, but we have a very strong lead. And, folks, make no mistake, the math is on our side to win this election." 1398

CARLSBAD, Calif. (KGTV) - One of San Diego County’s most spectacular signs of spring, the Carlsbad Flower Fields, is blooming in an explosion of color that opens to the public in March. The rows of ranunculus, roses, orchards, sweet pea blossoms, and petunias are set on 50 acres with an ocean view east of Interstate 5. Visitors can tour the fields for photo opportunities or take part in one of dozens of special events. The admission price includes a sweet pea maze, theme gardens, and water wise farming exhibits. Tours and wagon rides are available for an additional fee. This year’s ticketed event lineup includes workouts like Flower Flow Yoga and Barre and Bloom, DIY classes including succulent gardens, basket weaving, painting, and flower arranging, concerts, and food truck days. California, get ready for nonstop flights to Hawaii on Southwest Airlines. Southwest Airlines announced on Thursday that four California cities will serve nonstop flights to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu (HNL), Kahului Airport on Maui (OGG), Lihue Airport on Kauai (LIH), and Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport at Keahole (KOA). Southwest Airlines plans to fly to those Hawaiian cites from Oakland Metropolitan Airport (OAK), San Diego International Airport (SAN), Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC) and Sacramento International Airport (SMF). The Texas-based airline plans to sell tickets to Hawaii sometime in 2018. The service plans are pending FAA approval.  743

Now, there are apps that allow you to skip the phone call and get your food delivered straight to your door with just a few taps on a phone screen.We looked at some of the top food delivery apps to find out which is the best one to download. The apps include Postmates, Uber Eats, Door Dash and Eat 24.All four apps have slight differences when it comes to restaurants, fees and how easy they are to use. Not every app has the same restaurants on them, so you might have to use an app that has the restaurant of your liking.Door Dash was the simplest app to use because there weren’t that many choices or suggestions to help you choose what to eat.Eat 24, like many of the other apps offered food categories like American, Asian and Mexican to help you narrow down your choices.We found when placing your order on each app you had to add your credit card and address, but for Uber Eats you did not. If you have an Uber Ride Share account, it's automatically synced up to that app. It cut the ordering time in half if you were a new user.Although we used Postmates for ordering food, we learned you can use the app for ordering anything. Some use Postmates to order clothes to be picked up or getting an item from the drug store delivered to their house.No matter which app you use there’s a place to save money by adding a promo code. But, you’ll need to watch out for hidden service fees outside of the usual delivery and tax fee.A great feature all the apps have are alerts or push notifications letting you know where your food is and when it will be delivered.Almost every app delivered the food we ordered 10 minutes earlier than their estimated arrival time. CARLSBAD, Calif. (KGTV) - A burglary victim is making a plea for the return of a priceless family heirloom after thieves forced open her front door and raided her Carlsbad home. Joanna Bradford returned home last Thursday and saw her front door open and damaged. "My heart started beating, immediately nervous and called police," said Bradford.Bradford eventually discovered a ransacked bathroom and bedroom. A new iPad and some jewelry had been stolen, including a gold-and-silver Omega watch belonging to her father, who passed away in 2013. He bought it in the 70s and wore it to work every day."I would put it on, look down, and see my dad. He was with me whenever I was wearing it," said Bradford.Bradford's Ring doorbell camera revealed clues about who made that watch vanish.Just before 10:30 a.m., a man wearing a blue shirt and sunglasses rings the doorbell with his knuckle. He then leaves and comes back with a backpack. That's when the motion-activated camera stops.In the next video, that man and another man are seen emerging from the home with backpacks, before getting into a vehicle, possibly a light-colored GMC Acadia SUV, and driving off. Another vehicle, possibly a light-colored Audi A2 Hatchback, leaves at the same time. "They knew what they were doing.
