KENOSHA, Wis. — A man was air-flighted to a local hospital after he was shot by a Kenosha police officer Sunday evening, police say.Kenosha police said the man was shot near a home at 40th and 28th streets in Kenosha just after 5 p.m. Officers were called to a 'domestic incident' at the location.A family member confirmed to Scripps station WTMJ in Milwaukee that the man was Jacob Blake, 29.Police did not say what led up to the shooting but said that officers offered immediate aid.Kenosha police said Blake is in serious condition. KANSAS CITY, Kansas – The Kansas Attorney General’s Office Tuesday released indictments against three more officials and entities in connection to the Schlitterbahn Waterpark death in 2016. Jeffrey Wayne Henry, John Timothy Schooley, and Henry & Sons Construction Company, Inc. were indicted by a Wyandotte County Grand Jury.The trio faces reckless second-degree murder charges in addition to aggravated battery and aggravated child endangerment charges stemming from others who rode Verruckt at the company’s Kansas City, Kansas waterpark.Henry was taken into custody Monday by U.S. Marshals in Cameron County, Texas. A spokeswoman for the attorney general’s office said Schooley remains at large.Henry is co-owner of Schlitterbahn and is connected to Henry and Sons Construction Company.Schooley played a key role in the design of Verruckt.It was on Verruckt that then 10-year-old Caleb Schwab died in August 2016.Last week, the attorney general’s office charged the company and its park operations manager at the time of the incident, Tyler Miles, in connection to Schwab’s death.Miles pleaded not guilty in a court hearing in Wyandotte County on Friday. 1189

The declaration on Tuesday leaves Pakistan and neighboring Afghanistan as the only countries thought to still have the wild poliovirus. "Today we are also celebrating another public health triumph: the eradication of wild poliovirus in Africa," said Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus with the World Health Organization. "This is an incredible achievement, and a much-needed cause for celebration."The World Health Organization says this is just the second time a virus has been eradicated in Africa, after smallpox four decades ago. However, the announcement doesn’t mean Africa is polio-free. Cases of vaccine-derived polio are still sparking outbreaks.
