Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro announced Tuesday that he has tested positive for the coronavirus.Bolsonaro made the announcement in a televised address.“I’m well, normal. I even want to take a walk around here, but I can’t due to medical recommendations,” Bolsonaro said, according to The Associated Press. “I thought I had it before, given my very dynamic activity. I’m president and on the combat lines. I like to be in the middle of the people.”Bolsonaro has repeatedly trivialized the pandemic since it reached Brazil. He's often photographed without a mask in crowds and shaking hands with government officials and supporters.Bolsonaro wore a mask during Tuesday's address.During his speech, he encouraged Brazilians to continue living their lives normally, saying that the country needed to get its "economy in gear."The country has more than 1.6 million confirmed cases of the virus — the second-most in the world, behind the U.S. — and more than 65,000 deaths linked to the disease. 1002

He has since tested negative."The first lady said that her symptoms from the coronavirus were “minimal.”“I was very fortunate as my diagnosis came with minimal symptoms, though they hit me all at once and it seemed to be a roller coaster of symptoms in the days after,” Melania Trump wrote. “I experienced body aches, a cough and headaches, and felt extremely tired most of the time. I chose to go a more natural route in terms of medicine, opting more for vitamins and healthy food. We had wonderful caretakers around us and we will be forever grateful for the medical care and professional discretion we received from Dr. (Sean) Conley and his team.”President Trump confirmed he and the first lady tested positive for the coronavirus in the early morning hours of October 2. Later that day, the president was admitted into Walter Reed Medical Center after seeing a high fever and difficulty breathing.Trump spent 72 hours in the hospital before returning to the White House. BUENOS AIRES - Argentinian police officers were fired after they claimed that mice ate more than half a ton of marijuana that was not accounted for in the police warehouse. After an inspection, an officer noticed 540kg of cannabis was missing the confiscation warehouse just outside of Buenos Aires.During a span of two years of storage, police collected 6,000 kg of marijuana. At the time, Javier Specia was the police commissioner.According to The Guardian, Specia stepped down in April 2017 and was replaced with Commissioner Emilio Portero. Portero noticed only 5,460 kg of marijuana in the warehouse. When questioned by a judge, Specia and three of his subordinate officers all claimed that the missing drugs were "eaten by mice."Experts found the claim to be impossible.“Buenos Aires University experts have explained that mice wouldn’t mistake the drug for food, and that if a large group of mice had eaten it, a lot of corpses would have been found in the warehouse,” said a spokesperson for the judge. On May 4 the officers will testify in court to see if the missing narcotics were due to "expedience or negligence."There is no statement from Specia at this time, but the ex-commissioner faces further internal investigation. 1265

Michael Delong has been suspended without pay, and Commissioner Byron Lockwood has ordered an immediate investigation after a video of Delong's comments surfaced on social media on Monday. The video, recorded and shared on Twitter by user @ruweyda_salim, shows a handful of officers in a 7-Eleven parking lot. The woman recording the video counted 10 officers on hand to arrest the man, who she said was "on drugs."Delong claimed police responded because the man was "violent" and was holding a weight in his hand that could be used as a weapon. You're a disrespectful little f***ing c***, that's what you are," Delong said in response.Online records show Delong made over 0,000 in 2018 and more than ,000 last year. You can watch the full video below.
