MONROE, Ohio -- Four Monroe High School students crashed on their way to prom Friday night, superintendent Phil Cagwin confirmed, trapping one inside the wrecked vehicle and ejecting another.All four were transported from the Millikin Road crash site to nearby hospitals: Three by ambulance to the West Chester Hospital and one airlifted to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, according to police."Our thoughts and prayers are with our students and their families," Monroe Board of Education president Brett Guido said in a statement.Students at prom were told about the crash, according to a post on the high school's Facebook page. MILWAUKEE — Jacob Blake is out of the hospital and in a rehabilitation center, his attorney says.Blake was in Froedtert Hospital since Aug. 23, when Kenosha Police Officer Rusten Sheskey fired seven rounds into Blake's back.Blake's attorney declined to say when exactly Blake left the hospital, or how long he is expected to remain at the rehabilitation center. Blake's family said he had been paralyzed from the waist down. It appears his condition has improved somewhat, as he is now recovering in an unidentified rehabilitation center.Blake was initially handcuffed to his hospital bed after the shooting. Police said at the time that the handcuffs were necessary because Blake still had an outstanding warrant on him. After he posted bond and with the help of local lawmakers, the handcuffs were removed, and the police officers guarding his door left.Officer Sheskey has not been charged in the shooting. Sheskey's attorney says the officer believed at the time that Blake may have been trying to drive off with a woman's child.On August 23, Officers were initially called to a domestic incident. There, they attempted to arrest Blake on an outstanding warrant for third degree sexual assault charges. Blake tried to get into his car, when the officer fired his service gun into Blake's back.The shooting quickly became national news as protests erupted in Kenosha and across the U.S.After a few nights of demonstrations in Kenosha, a 17-year-old man opened fire on the crowd, hitting three people. Two people died and the third was taken to the hospital. The teen, Kyle Rittenhouse, was arrested at his home in Illinois and he is now facing extradition to Wisconsin and charges in the shooting deaths. NATIONAL CITY (CNS) - Authorities Tuesday released the name of a man being sought on suspicion of fleeing the scene of a four-vehicle crash that killed another driver on Interstate 5 in National City last weekend.The crash on northbound I-5, south of Mile of Cars Way, happened around 4:50 a.m. Saturday, California Highway Patrol Officer Jake Sanchez said.A 2017 Toyota Tacoma pickup was traveling at high speed when the driver veered into the center median to pass a slower vehicle and struck a parked, unoccupied 1996 Nissan 200 coupe, Sanchez said.RELATED: Fatal National City crash shuts down northbound Interstate 5The pickup overturned after hitting the Nissan, which was pushed into the side of a passing vehicle, the officer said. The truck and the Nissan came to a stop blocking several traffic lanes.A 2003 Honda CRV then struck the Toyota, according to the CHP. The SUV's driver, 36-year-old Luis Felipe Marin of San Ysidro, was pronounced dead at the scene.CHP investigators determined that 45-year-old Raul Brown was the last known driver of the Toyota, but attempts to locate him have been unsuccessful, Sanchez said.Anyone with information about Brown's whereabouts was asked to contact CHP Officer Brad Clinkscales at 858-293-6028. 1256
