SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police Wednesday identified the Border Patrol agents and suspect they say knocked an agent off his ATV before being shot.Agents Micah Owens and Brandon Brandt reportedly shot the suspect, Francisco Javier Gutierrez-Alvarado, during the incident.Alvarado was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and no agents were seriously injured, police say.RELATED: Man shot by Border Patrol after knocking agent off ATV with rock, authorities sayDuring an initial investigation, authorities learned that a Border Patrol agent was on patrol on an ATV in the area of Spooner’s Mesa when he was hit with a rock and knocked off the vehicle by Alvarado.The suspect rode away on the ATV and was chased by several other agents before losing control and crashing into a fence.During the chase, both agents reportedly shot at Alvarado, striking him at least once. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man they believe robbed the same San Diego gas station twice in six months.According to police, the first robbery happened at the Chevron on the 3500 block of National Avenue on June 2 at 4 a.m. with the second taking place November 3 at 3:52 a.m.During both robberies, the suspect stole cash and cigarettes, pointing a handgun at the clerk. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 35 to 40-years-old and between 5’6’” and 5’9” tall.During the June robbery the man was wearing blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt. San Diego (KGTV) -- North County parents and students are voicing safety concerns after the Vista school board voted 3-2 not to restore law enforcement at school sites next year. The Vista Unified School District made its decision early Friday morning despite backlash from some parents."We seem to need constant reminders so we've had Columbine, Parkland, Sandy Hook, and on a day we're pleading for safety another tragedy hits," one parent told 10News.The parent was referring to Thursday's shooting at Saugus High School just north of Los Angeles. A student gunned down a group of teens on campus killing a 16-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Parents in Pacific Beach are calling on more enforcement at the Crown Point Elementary field.During school hours the field is only open to elementary students and then opens to the public 30 minutes before and after. Mariluci Byrnes has a daughter who plays on the field with the Pacific Youth Soccer League. She says many dog owners ignore city signs warning it's a violation to take your dog off-leash and to not pick up after them.  “Just not a good combination when you have kids playing and there’s poop all over the place," said Byrnes.Byrnes says kids and parents often step in dog poop and she worries an off-leash dog could injure a child.  The field is now in the San Diego Humane Society’s (SDHS) jurisdiction. An SDHS spokesperson confirms they’ve gotten complaints about the issue, but sometimes other calls involving safety take priority over off-leash dogs.
