A social media post crediting a Nashville man for stepping in to comfort a flight passenger who was body-shamed has gained plenty of attention.Savannah Phillips wrote on Facebook about her experience after being called "a smelly fatty" on board a United flight from Oklahoma to Illinois on Monday. The mother said she always preferred to sit by herself in flights because she was self-conscious about her weight, and feared others would feel uncomfortable sitting next to her.A man she described to be in his 60s with yellow sunglasses who claimed to be a comedian sat next right next to her.Her post stated,"As soon as I got buckled, he sat back down...his phone was maybe 12 inches from my face and he proceeded to text someone that he was sitting next to a "smelly fatty." I don’t even know what the rest of his text said. I turned my head away as fast as I could. I was shocked and it was like confirmation of the negative things I think about myself on a daily basis. Before I knew it, I could feel hot, salty tears coming down my face."Phillips told Scripps station WTVF in Nashville she began to cry and even prayed for the man. Unbeknownst to her, another passenger sitting in the row behind them across the aisle also happened to see the message on his phone."He tapped him on the shoulder and said, 'I need to talk to you'" she recalled. "The guy took his earphones out and turned around and he said, 'We're switching seats right now.'" Phillips remembered the passenger saying he was not going to put up with what the man said. They eventually switched seats, and an unlikely and pleasant encounter ensued."When he sat down he saw me crying and asked why I was crying." Phillips said. "He said to not let it get to me and not to worry about it, and we started making small talk which made me feel better." She learned the passenger who helped comfort her was Chase Irwin, a father and manager at Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row Nashville on Broadway.Phillips shared her experience on social media in hopes he would be recognized, and within half an hour, he acknowledged reading the post.Irwin emphasized to WTVF on the phone that he did not intervene for publicity. He described feeling infuriated once seeing the message from the man's phone after he further said he was going to vomit. "I was going to wait until the end of the flight to say something but I could not have this guy sit next to her this whole flight and her thinking he's making fun of her," Irwin said. "It really gets to me deep down when I see someone crying, and when I saw her crying it really hit me hard and actually got sick to my stomach.""I was so blessed and happy he was there," Phillips added. A Tennessee woman was behind a security threat that placed the White House on lockdown.The vehicle that rammed the security gate Friday afternoon is registered to Jessica R. Ford, a woman who has had run-ins with Secret Service in the past. The car also had Rutherford County tags.The incident report says Ford intentionally hit the fixed security barrier with her car while holding a gun in her hand behind the wheel.According to the report, Ford hit the gate, and continued to accelerate, while an officer demanded she put the gun down multiple times. Witnesses reported seeing smoke from her vehicle's tires.When she did not comply,  the officer removed the gun from hand before she was pulled from behind the steering wheel.Once they pulled her out of the driver's side window, they handcuffed her and searched the vehicle.The White House was placed on lockdown for about an hour during the investigation. The Secret Service confirmed no shots were fired during the incident, and no law enforcement personnel were injured.President Trump was inside the White House at the time, hosting Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull. Turnbull remained at the White House as the incident was being investigated.The incident wasn't Ford's first run-in with secret service. According to reports, Ford tried to get past security and scale a fence at the White House in April, May and July of 2017.  She was arrested and charged with unlawful entry and ordered to stay away from the White House grounds.Ford has a lengthy criminal history in Tennessee as well. In 2003, she was charged with DUI and prescription fraud. From 2004 to 2006 she was charged with multiple counts of violation of probation and resisting arrest. In 2011,  in Nashville she was charged with criminal trespassing.The Secret Services said Ford is now facing multiple charges in connection to Friday's incident including Unlawful Entry, Carrying a Pistol without a License, and Destruction of Government Property.Learn more about Friday's incident here. 2113

A man wanted in connection with a quadruple murder in Detroit has shot himself, according to police. George Anthony Davis, 27, shot himself near the Ohio Turnpike after leading police on a chase.Police said Davis shot and killed three people, a man and two women, at a gas station iin Detroit Monday morning. The male victim was identified as Deacon Ralphael Hall, leader at a local church, his 26-year-old daughter Cierra Bargineer and 21-year-old Kristen Thomas.Police say surveillance cameras captured everything; a man pulled up in a silver sedan and started talking to people in a gray Dodge SUV. Seconds later, the man in the sedan shot the people in the SUV and shot at the man pumping gas.When he ran out of bullets, he went back to his car to reload, and came back to shoot more. Police say Bargineer was the mother of his child.Second Shooting LocationHe then gets in the car and goes to Faust Street and has a conversation with an adult male cousin and fatally shoots him, police said.  The suspect then goes to a gas station on Faust and takes a 2007 blue Nissan Ultima.Davis was on the run for several hours before police confirmed that he shot himself.
