WELLINGTON, Fla. - Golf courses and grade-schoolers don’t always go hand in hand but for one 6-year-old in Wellington, it’s a perfect match.The first-grader in question is Brian “Little B” Kelley. He has a long list of hobbies, but at the top of the list is golf.“Every night I have dreams about golf,” said Kelley.He picked it up from his dad, Brian “Big B” Kelley, an admittedly average golfer. The two spent plenty of weekends watching pro golfers on TV before Little B could even talk. Little B caught the bug, big time.“I just watch the pros and learn it,” he said.It mystified the adults around him, including his dad who said, “ next thing you know he’s got this amazing swing that I want.”There’s more to this story than a kid with a ton of talent, "Little B’s" parents Brian and Elizabeth are open about his adoption in Kansas City six years ago when he was three weeks old.“He was five pounds at a month old so I had him in the palm of my hand,” said Big B.His mom, Elizabeth Kelley, describes him as the gift that keeps on giving.“It just is incredible and yes he’s got an incredible talent with golf but that’s not the thing that makes him special, it’s him and who he is,” she said.A focused flexible and driven athlete, his caddy Chris Arbour says he brings an "X factor" to the game and that’s become a priority.“Be kind to people,” is the way Little B describes it.Arbour said, “I’ll be his friend for the rest of my life if he lets me.”He says it’s already made him a better person. WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Donald Trump announced Monday that his administration is distributing 150 million Abbott rapid point-of-care tests in the coming weeks.Trump said 50 million tests will go to the nation’s most vulnerable communities, including 18 million for nursing homes, 15 million for assisted living facilities, 10 million for home health and hospice care agencies, and nearly 1 million for historically Black colleges and tribal nation colleges.The president said 100 million tests will be given to states and territories to support their efforts to reopen their economies and schools.“For example, the support my administration is providing would allow every state to, on a regular basis, test every teacher who needs it,” said Trump. “This continues our critical effort to use testing to protect high-risk communities.”Trump said the new Abbott rapid point-of-care tests are easy to use and return results in minutes. He said you can get a result in a maximum 15 minutes and no machine is needed to process them.After the president’s testing announcement, Admiral Brett Giroir spoke and actually demonstrated how the tests work.Giroir explained that the Abbott uses a nasal swab. To administer the test, the admiral said you put six drops of liquid on a piece of paper, swab the nostrils five times each, insert the swab into the test, twist three times, pull a piece of adhesive off and wait for the results.Giroir said it’s not a home test but can be administered in places like schools, churches or parking lots.As of Monday, Giroir said the U.S. had performed over 111 million tests for the novel coronavirus and the nation averages about 920,000 tests per day. He said the new tests will help increase the nation’s testing capabilities.The briefing comes a day before Trump is set to take on former Vice President Joe Biden in the first presidential debate of the 2020 election. One of the announced topics is the COVID-19 pandemic, which Biden has accused Trump of failing to adequately address.As of Monday afternoon, the COVID-19 death toll was near 205,000, with at least 7.1 million cases confirmed in the nation, according to Johns Hopkins University. (KGTV) – San Diego Congressman Scott Peters introduced legislation Tuesday to provide a tax credit to renters who paid more than 30 percent of their gross income on rent and utilities the previous year.The Rent Relief Act is the House companion to a Senate bill introduced by Senator Kamala Harris.Eligibility would be determined by annual income compared to annual rent using the federal government’s fair market rent rates, a spokesman for Rep.
