BEIJING, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- President Xi Jinping and his French counterpart Francois Hollande issued a joint statement on climate change in Beijing on Monday, vowing to promote a working program to accelerate pre-2020 efforts in mitigation, adaptation and support during the Paris climate summit.
During his Johannesburg stay from Thursday to Saturday, Xi also held separate and group meetings with dozens of African leaders, attended a conference with business dignitaries, and participated in several other relevant activities.

Li will also attend a "16+1" round table meeting and an economic and trade forum.
He expressed worry about the recent flare-up of the conflict, urging the two sides to show restraint and end the conflict as soon as possible.
The two countries, he proposed, should maintain close exchanges, give full play to their institutionalized dialogues in various areas, and expand bilateral trade and cooperation in agriculture and animal husbandry.
