NEW YORK, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Keqiang met here Tuesday with a group of leading figures in the United States' financial, think-tank and media circles for discussions on relations between the two countries and other affairs of shared concern.

Echoing Xi's remarks, Vazquez said that the establishment of a strategic partnership will begin a new chapter of Uruguay-China ties. Uruguay welcomes more Chinese investment in the country and is willing to negotiate a free trade agreement with China.

Xi said the G20's role as a major platform in global economic governance should be further developed to make it a long-term mechanism.
