MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. — Tempers flared at a Michigan gym, and the confrontation was caught on camera.It started when Rachel Dixson says she went to get a new membership. After asking for a manager and resolving the situation, her information was violated, and her business attacked.According Dixson, who signed up to work out and at the Planet Fitness on Groesbeck in Mount Clemens, Michigan, while she was tanning the employee that signed her up looked her up on the web, found out she owns a car dealership and started writing negative and vulgar reviews.Video taken inside the Mount Clemens Planet Fitness Thursday shows Dixson confronting an employee.She says it all started much earlier that morning when she went to sign up.“It was my first time in the gym in a couple years, so I was pretty pumped and excited to work out,” says Dixson.But there was a problem. Dixson says the employee helping her wouldn’t let her pay with a debit card or include tanning in the package.She says her husband had paid before with the same card, so she asked for a manager.“(The manager) said no problem,” Dixson says. “They took my payment. He helped me with the tanning. I went in the tanning bed, and I worked out.”While she was doing that though, she says the employee was working on trying to ruin her business's reputation with negative reviews.This is one example:“She says this is absolute worst company in existence,” says Dixson. “You sell **** cars. Everything you do is backwards, and the owner Rachel is a ****ing ***** and I hope you die in one of your **** cars you ****ing c***.”She was able to track down through Google reviews the name of who posted.“I plugged her name on the search bar on Facebook, and I recognized her as the employee who helped me that morning at Planet Fitness,” Dixson says.So she confronted her— cameras rolling.“When I walked in, she was just looking at me, all of those emotions of feeling violated came out,” Dixson says.The employee has a very different story of how this played out.She says Rachel was incredibly rude, so she did post one Google review that was not vulgar, but she knew she was in the wrong and deleted it an hour later.She says she apologized and quit as well but was terrified during that confrontation.Planet Fitness issued the following statement to WXYZ: 2349

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Attorneys for the family of George Floyd announced Wednesday that they’ve filed a lawsuit against the City of Minneapolis and the four officers involved in the 46-year-old’s death on Memorial Day.Watch the attorneys press conference below:The federal lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota. It names the city and former officers Derek Chauvin, Tou Thao, Thomas Lane, and J. Alexander Kueng as the defendants in the case.The lawsuit claims the city is responsible for a police culture of excessive force, racism and impunity.The complaint is seeking compensatory and special damages and costs as defined under federal law in an amount to be determined by a jury. The suit is also asking for the appointment of a receiver or similar authority to ensure that the City of Minneapolis properly trains and supervises its police officers.Floyd died in police custody the night of May 25 after former officer Chauvin pressed his knee against the handcuffed man’s neck for several minutes while he said, “I can’t breathe.” The incident was captured on video, which quickly spread online and led to worldwide protests with activists calling for justice and racial equality.“This complaint shows what we have said all along, that Mr. Floyd died because the weight of the entire Minneapolis Police Department was on his neck,” said attorney Ben Crump in a press release. “The City of Minneapolis has a history of policies, procedures and deliberate indifference that violates the rights of arrestees, particularly Black men, and highlights the need for officer training and discipline. This is an unprecedented case, and with this lawsuit we seek to set a precedent that makes it financially prohibitive for police to wrongfully kill marginalized people -- especially Black people -- in the future.”Chauvin has been charged with second-degree murder, third-degree murder and manslaughter. Three other officers at the scene —Thao, Lane, and Kueng — are charged with aiding and abetting both second-degree murder and manslaughter.“The Floyd family deserves justice for the inhumane way in which officers with the Minneapolis Police Department killed Mr. Floyd,” said attorney L. Chris Stewart. “Furthermore, the City has a responsibility to acknowledge the history and practices of excessive force and impunity with its police force, as well as shortfalls in officer training and discipline.”The complaint claims that the police department knows prone restraint can be deadly, and that its officers were supposed to receive appropriate training, but it had inconsistent policies and infrequent training to educate officers.The complaint states that MPD training to all officers designated and approved neck restraints as a “non-deadly force” option and encouraged officers to “compress veins, arteries nerves, and muscles of the neck” of arrestees. 2899

More than 3,600 coronavirus-related deaths were reported in the United States on Wednesday, topping all previous days during the pandemic, which has killed more than 300,000 Americans since March, according to Johns Hopkins University data.Wednesday also saw a record 247,000 new cases of the COVID-19, a sign that the spread of the virus shows no signs of slowing.Wednesday’s figures mark the third time that US deaths topped 3,000 in a single day with two previous instances coming last week. Generally, mid-week death figures have marked the highest numbers due to how states report deaths.All told, a seven-day average of coronavirus deaths indicates that there are nearly 2,500-related coronavirus-related deaths per day. While much has been made of death figures, a death is only counted if COVID-19 was a factor in the person’s death. MILWAUKEE –  Drivers for the Milwaukee County Transit System admit they see some strange things along their routes. But this week, one driver could not believe his eyes when he saw a chase — between two animals -— unfold right in front of his bus in Milwaukee's Riverwest neighborhood. Bus surveillance camera shows a coyote sprinting down Holton Street – being chased by a small black cat.The coyote was a surprising enough sight for the bus driver – but the cat made the moment “a first” for the transit system. The Milwaukee County Transit System released the video on their Facebook page  and said:  661
