Black Friday has already been changing over the last few years with online shopping getting more popular and people getting tired of fighting the crowds, but stores are now further reinventing the shopping holiday because of the pandemic.Home Depot came out this week saying for the first time that it's offering Black Friday deals starting in early November that will last through December, in-store and online.Best Buy, Target and Amazon are some of the other companies saying they'll be offering holiday deals earlier than before. BOULEVARD, Calif. (KGTV) — Firefighters worked quickly to douse flames from a brush fire along Interstate 8 in the East County Saturday.The Crestwood Fire ignited near Old Highway 80 at Tierra Del Sol Road, and grew to 32 acres, according to Cal Fire San Diego. Crews were able to hold the fire at Old Highway 80. As of 8:52 a.m., Cal Fire said crews said the fire was 45% contained.No structures were damaged or threatened, though six homes were evacuated. No injuries were reported.About 25 engines, eight hand crews, and two dozers were called out to the fire. A stretch of Old Highway 80 in the area and the number two lane of I-8 were closed, but have since reopened. 680

Broadcaster Al Michaels will not be calling Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants and will be replaced by Mike Tirico due to "COVID-19 safety protocols."According to a press release, NBCUniversal said they pulled Michaels from working the game because he wasn't cleared to work "in accordance with NBCUniversal COVID-19 safety protocols."In the statement, Michaels said "feels great" and had "no symptoms." BELLEVILLE, Mich. — A Good Samaritan was placed in a bad situation on a metro Detroit highway. Now his close call is going viral on social media while also alerting motorists to beware and trust your instincts. It was around 10 p.m. on Sunday when John Hadyniak of Belleville, Michigan  was heading home driving down I-94. When he got near Belleville road, he saw a woman on the side of the road changing a flat tire. Hadyniak's first thought was to stop and give her a hand, then his red flag radar lit up like the Fourth of July. The trunk on the car was closed, said Hadyniak, who is also a mechanic, and he noticed there was no plate on the trunk of the car. "I noticed that there was no jack and she had a tire iron in her hand," Hadyniak said. "Things didn't add up. It was just a bad feeling."He listened to that gut feeling and pulled out a flashlight and shined it on the woman. "I put the flashlight on her when I got out of the car," he said. "And about 15 feet off the side of the road there was a guy laying in the grass. I hit him with the light. He got up and jumped in the car and took off down I-94"In that moment, Hadyniak thought of what could have transpired. Those "what ifs" are still swirling around in his head. "Worse case scenario, I could have got bopped in the head with that, laid dead on the side of the expressway," he said. "(They could have) robbed me, stole my car – everything. If I wouldn't have seen him, it would have been bad news."Hadyniak posted the phonies foiled plan on Facebook with a warning to folks to be smart and beware.
