BEIJING, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- China is firmly against rising protectionism and will take "all necessary measures" to defend the legal interests of its exporting companies, a commerce official said Thursday.
In a government work report delivered at the annual parliamentary session earlier this month, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang vowed to carry out the strictest possible evaluations and assessments of poverty alleviation.

The meeting also discussed measures on raising the awareness of law among society and pilot programs on reforming the management of mass organizations in Shanghai, Chongqing and the All-China Federation of Trade Unions.
Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, made the remarks Tuesday afternoon at a group study attended by members of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.
As Xi has stressed on many occasions that eco-protection should be the priority in construction. Xiongan New Area is home to Baiyangdian, one of the largest freshwater wetlands in north China.
