The Food and Drug Administration warned pregnant women on Thursday of using some pain and fever medications during the second half of pregnancies.According to the FDA, these nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs can cause rare but serious kidney problems in the unborn baby, which can cause pregnancy-related complications. The European Union is to propose ending twice-yearly clock changes after a large-scale public survey, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said Friday.According to Juncker, more than 80% of EU citizens want to abolish daylight saving time and instead remain on the time used during summer instead.At the moment, each EU member state puts clocks forward one hour on the last Sunday of March and back again on the last Sunday in October."This debate about summertime, wintertime has been around for many years here," Juncker told German broadcaster ZDF."Many people are contributing to this debate. The digital news company Mic has laid off most of its staff, a spokesperson for the company confirmed.The layoffs were first reported Thursday by Recode. It is not yet clear exactly how many employees were affected. The CIA has determined that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman personally ordered the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, despite the Saudi government's denials that the de facto ruler was involved, according to a Washington Post report.Citing people familiar with the matter, the Post reported Friday that the CIA reached its conclusion by examining several sources of intelligence. According to the Post, US officials have high confidence in the CIA's assessment.A spokesman for the CIA declined to comment to the Post.
