The San Diego Airport Authority encourages travelers to leave ample time, preferably two hours, to get through security and to their gate.Rental Car Center buses require social distancing and therefore are running at reduced capacity. Plan ahead and leave ample time to accommodate longer shuttle wait times. The trolley provides service to the terminals at Palm Street on the Rental Car Center shuttles. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A 4.9-magnitude earthquake and several smaller shakeups recorded in Imperial County on Wednesday were reportedly felt in San Diego County.The swarm of earthquakes was centered around the Westmorland area. While many of the smaller quakes were recorded between 2.5- and 3.7-magnitude, about 80 earthquakes measuring at least 2.5-magnitude were recorded between 4 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.The largest earthquake as of 5:45 p.m. registered at 4.9-magnitude, according to the agency's latest earthquakes map.Seismologist Dr. Lucy Jones tweeted that Wednesday's series of earthquakes was one of the largest swarms Imperial Valley has seen, adding that the area is historically active in swarms."The swarm happening now south of the Salton Sea, near Westmoreland is over 30 km south of the end of the San Andreas," Jones tweeted. "It is in the Brawley seismic zone, a common source of swarms. So far largest is M4.4. Too far from the San Andreas to change the probability of a quake on it." 1004

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A driver lost control of their vehicle Tuesday night, crashing into a power pole while trying to avoid other cars Tuesday night.The crash, which happened around 8 p.m., caused an explosion and sent power lines arching. Several nearby bushes caught fire because of the explosion but firefighters were able to put them out quickly.The incident happened near South 43rd and Division Streets.   428

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego leaders returned from their trip to Mexico City on Wednesday night. The three-day trip focused on building stronger border relations. The trip comes a week after President Trump threatened to close the border if congress didn't come up with an immigration deal or if Mexico didn't stop migrants heading north. The delegation included San Diego and Imperial Beach mayors, Kevin Faulconer and Serge Dedina and former mayor Jerry Sanders. Several city council members from various cities also attended meeting with top Mexican officials. A big topic of conversation was the ongoing Tijuana sewage issue. Impeiral Beach Mayor, Dedina, says the conversations were positive and promising. Dedina says plans to fix the issue include reapairing the water plant that's currently spilling the sewage, taking all of the water out of the Tijuana River Valley and putting an earth-fill dam on the Mexican side to stop the sewage from getting to the beaches. San Diego leaders say the trip was productive and explained that the end goal was to find solutions to enhance the region for the benefit of both countries. 1142

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – A driver was shot while traveling on a Clairemont street Thursday night, according to police.At around 10:30 p.m., a man was driving in the 5800 block of Chateau Drive when he was hit by gunfire, San Diego police said.ABC 10News learned the injured man was able to drive a few blocks before the SUV crashed into an electrical box in front of San Diego Fire-Rescue Station 36.Firefighters and paramedics at the station heard the crash and rushed to help the victim, who had at least one gunshot wound on his upper body.The unidentified victim was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital, but his condition is unknown as of 9 a.m. Friday.Police said witnesses reported seeing a silver 4-door sedan leaving the shooting scene. 743
