(KGTV) — During Disney's Magical Christmas Parade special Christmas Day on ABC, fans got a sneak peek of the new rides and attractions coming to "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge" in Disneyland and Disney World next year.The glimpse showed Star Wars fans embarking on an adventure aboard the Millennium Falcon, and marching alongside the First Order or with the Resistance."I hope that when people come to 'Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge' and experience it for the first time that this place they're walking through and the characters they're seeing and the beasts and aliens and droids puts them in a position where they give themselves over to the moment," Scott Trowbridge, creative executive at Walt Disney Imagineering, said. The video preview offers a look at riders in "Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run" and within a First Order vessel on "Rise of the Resistance," two attractions coming to the land. (KGTV) -- A 22-year-old woman was arrested after Customs and Border Protection officers searching her car discovered nearly 10 pounds of fentanyl pills hidden in various household items, a bag of Corn Nuts, and a fire extinguisher.The discovery and arrest happened at around 7 p.m. on Aug. 22, at the Calexico West Port of Entry, CBP officials said.Officials said the woman driving an Acura TSX was entering the border crossing when she was stopped by officers and questioned.According to officials, an officer “noticed inconsistencies in her story and referred her and the vehicle for a more intensive examination.”With the help from a K9 team, officers were alerted to something suspicious in the car’s trunk. Officers then found 26 packages of fentanyl hidden in items such as a bar of soap, hair cream, lotion, milk containers, a bag of Corn Nuts, and a fire extinguisher.The pills, with a street value of about 1,500, and the car were seized by officers.The woman, a U.S. citizen, was arrested and turned over to Homeland Security, officials said. 1063

(KGTV) - A Valley Center woman and her son are dead in an apparent drunk-driving crash in Austin, Texas that injured the woman’s husband and daughter.KVUE reported Guy Brasted, 41, was driving drunk and crossed the median of U.S. 183 on Saturday afternoon. Brasted’s Jeep struck a Fiat sedan, police said.Nancy Latulippe and her 14-year-old son Jackson died on impact. Latulippe’s husband Scott is in critical condition, relatives said. The couple’s daughter Keira was not seriously injured, according to relatives.The family issued a statement which said they "thank the community for their prayers and support. The family is surrounding Kiera with support. We continue to pray for Scotty's recovery. Nancy and Jackson are in our thoughts and prayers as we move forward. Scotty continues to fight.
