The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a massive fire extinguisher recall that spans over 40 years and covers more than 120 models of fire extinguishers.According to the CPSC, it involves two styles of Kidde fire extinguishers: Plastic handle fire extinguishers and push button fire extinguishers. They may fail to discharge and the nozzle may detach. The 134 models were manufactured between Jan. 1, 1973 and Aug. 15, 2017, and includes models that have been previously recalled in March 2009 and February 2015.They were sold in red, white and silver and are either ABC- or BC-rated.According to the CPSC, there has been one death reported due to the recall. In 2014 emergency responders could not get the fire extinguishers to work during a car fire. There have also been 391 reports of failed or limited activation nozzle detachment, 16 injuries and 91 reports of property damage. They were sold at Menards, Montgomery Ward, Sears, The Home Depot, Walmart and other department, home and hardware stores across the country, and at Amazon.com.Consumers should contact Kidde to request a free replacement fire extinguisher.View the list of affected product codes below or by clicking here 1234
The search for missing actress Naya Rivera at a California lake has moved from a rescue effort to a recovery effort, the Ventura County Sheriff's Office said Thursday. In a press release, the VCSO said that investigators believe that Rivera "drowned in what appears to be a tragic accident."The VCSO added that recovery efforts had been hampered because divers are experiencing low visibility in waters.Rivera was last seen on Wednesday at Lake Piru, which is located about 60 miles northwest of Los Angeles. According to Cpt. Eric Buschow of the VCSO, deputies were called to the lake when Rivera's 4-year-old son was found floating adrift in the boat. The child reportedly told deputies that he had been swimming with his mother, but she never returned to the boat.Rivera is best known for portraying Santana on Glee, which ran on Fox between 2009 and 2015. 865

The U.S. Postal Service handles around 500 million pieces of mail every day. UPS and FedEx deliver 34 million packages combined. With the number of items being shipped and moved around the country, it’s impossible to closely inspect every single item. So, how do they keep us safe with so many packages? The U.S. Postal Service says they have a specific program called the Dangerous Mail Investigations Program to help get involved when suspicious packages come through a facility. They use X-ray technology and trained employees to recognize suspicious packages, but the daily volume of mail makes it a constant battle. One of the problems with the recent slew of packages delivered is that the packages were missing postmarks. The question is: how did they get missed and still delivered? As the FBI and USPS continue to find out information about what happened, the new attention given to the U.S. Postal Service is under new scrutiny. 959
The release of three US nationals currently detained in North Korea is "imminent," according to an official with knowledge of the ongoing negotiations. The official told CNN the North Koreans made the decision to free the Americans two months ago, and that North Korea's Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho had proposed their release during his visit to Sweden in March.US officials insisted at the time that their release "must not be related or used to loosen the main issue of denuclearization," the source said. 519
