AMMAN, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- Jordanian Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour said on Saturday that his country has attached great importance to developing friendly ties with China, and seeks to promote their exchanges in such sectors as media and culture so as to bring bilateral ties to new high levels.
On the issue of South Sudan, Wang said China supports the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), which mediates between the two parties involved in the conflict, to continue to play its leading role in mediation.
Li said China and Italy, both heirs to great ancient civilizations, should enhance cultural and people-to-people exchanges, in a bid to lay a more solid foundation for the future development of bilateral relations.
He called for more policies to develop government-supported financing guarantees and re-guarantee institutions, improvement cooperation mechanisms between banks and guarantee institutions and an increase in financing guarantees for small firms and rural farmers.
He added the two countries, both important economies in Asia- Pacific, are highly complementary in terms of economy.
