(KGTV) — GoFundMe has found itself hosting another border wall related campaign, this time to counter a growing fundraiser to fund President Trump's border wall.The "Ladders to Get Over Trump's Wall" campaign was created to counter a multi-million dollar GoFundMe in support of the border wall. And while it says it's for ladders to get over the wall, it's not in the literal sense.Instead, the campaign says it intends to donate the money raised to legal services to underserved immigrant children, families, and refugees though the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES), a Texas-based nonprofit."We saw some folks are raising money for a border wall to keep out our migrant siblings and fellow human beings, who are fleeing violence and persecution and whose tragically-underpaid labor is essential to the U.S. economy. Seems like a bad idea on countless levels for everyone involved," the campaign writes. "Maybe we should focus on human rights and creating a community that reflects our supposed values."The campaign writes that while literal ladders are not its intention, it's about "lifting people up."As of Thursday at 4:25 p.m., the campaign had raised more than ,000 of its 0 million goal. Services marking the arrival of the year 5780 on the Hebrew calendar feature the blowing of the shofar, a ram's horn mentioned in the Torah and used by ancient Jews in religious ceremonies and as a call to arms and now used at Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur. Rosh Hashana is a time when Jews gather with family members and their communities to reflect on the past year and the one beginning. Celebrants also eat festive meals featuring apples dipped in honey, symbolic of the wishes for a sweet year. Rosh Hashana begins a period of contemplation and repentance culminating in Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, Judaism's most solemn and somber day. During the High Holy Days, Jewish tradition holds that God records the fate of each person for the coming year in the Book of Life, which is sealed at the end of Yom Kippur. (KGTV and AP) -- A Coronado parachutist jumped out of a plane over Normandy Wednesday, just as soldiers did 75 years ago, according to the Associated Press. The parachutists were honoring the airborne soldiers who jumped into gunfire ahead of the June 6 1944 seaborne invasion. 97-year-old D-Day veteran Tom Rice was among the paratroopers who leapt out of planes that day. According to the Associated Press, Rice jumped in tandem Wednesday into roughly the same area he landed on D-Day. “It went perfect, perfect jump,” Rice said following the jump. “I feel great. I’d go up and do it again.”On D-Day, Rice jumped with the 101st Airborne Division, landing safely despite catching himself on the exit and a bullet hitting his parachute. Rice flew down Wednesday with the stars and stripes flag beneath him, landing with loud applause. Other parachutists jumped with World War II souvenirs, some of which were worn by their grandfathers into battle. Rice said following the jump that he feels he represents a whole generation.
