BEIJING, April 29 (Xinhua) -- China's approach to and vision of regional security cooperation, outlined by Chinese President Xi Jinping at a key regional security conference on Thursday, are a pragmatic and timely answer to real needs of the region, international experts said.
He commended China-U.S. cooperation as a good example, referring to the Center of Excellence on Nuclear Security in Beijing, the largest of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region, which will provide a forum for bilateral and regional best-practice exchanges, and serve as a venue for demonstrating advanced technologies related to nuclear security.
The Declaration on the Conduct of the Parties in the South China Sea should be implemented, the joint statement said, urging all sides involved to reach a Code of Conduct at an early date.
The action plan says commercialization of scientific and technological findings is a key task in achieving innovation-driven development, which can also strengthen connections between sci-tech and the economy, with significance of promoting supply-side structural reform.
The reform aims to simplify administrative procedures and lower requirements for business registration. Since it started in March 2014, the reform achieved noticeable achievements and this was reiterated time and again by the Premier.
