Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Tuesday's agreement extends the closure by another 30 days. "This is an important decision that will keep people in both of our countries safe,” the prime minister said in his daily press conference. The Department of Homeland Security is in close contact with our Canadian and Mexican counterparts regarding this extension, and they agree on the need to extend their non-essential travel restrictions as well. TOKYO — Shinzo Abe, Japan’s longest-serving prime minister, says he will resign because a chronic illness has resurfaced. Concerns about Abe’s health began this summer and grew this month when he visited a Tokyo hospital two weeks in a row for unspecified health checkups.
