(KGTV) -- The devastating Woolsey Fire destroyed homes in Malibu Friday including one belonging to Caitlyn Jenner.By Friday afternoon, 14,000 acres burned, along with multiple homes, fire officials reported. Another 30,000 homes were threatened in Ventura County.Caitlyn Jenner's home was featured on her reality show "I Am Cait", according to KABC. Mandy Lamay wants to go from renter to buyer, looking to close on her first property during the COVID-19 crisis.“I started right as the pandemic was hitting,” she said of her home search. “That was kind of my driving factor for buying a house.”Purchasing a property during a pandemic, however, has proven to be somewhat problematic for buyers like Lamay.“You have to be viewing the house day one it pops on the market,” she said. “If you’re actually interested, you have to put in an offer immediately.”This kind of competition has created all kinds of chaos across the country.“We are seeing this pent-up demand,” said Dr. Jessica Lautz, vice president of demographics and behavioral insights for the National Association of Realtors. “We’ve actually seen in every region on a national scale that home sales actually did increase.”Lautz says after two months of drastic decline during the coronavirus shutdown, pending home sales mounted a record rebound in May.“The month-over-month increase in pending home sales is the largest that we’ve recorded,” she said.That’s more than a 44% increase after seeing home sales drop to their lowest levels in nine-and-a-half years.“Buyers are rethinking their living situations,” Lautz said. “So, the demand is really hot and that’s going to drive up prices.”Also impacting prices are slow building, low inventory and low interest rates.Combine those factors with more Americans looking to move from big cities to smaller towns and Lautz believes America’s real estate market will be impacted even more.“People are reevaluating and saying, ‘I don’t want to live in a dense area, crowded city center, crowded blocks,’” she said. “Elevator living is just not the right thing for people today.”For Lamay, she’s locked in a 3.125% interest rate and says she may overpay for her first property, if it gives her a peace of mind.“And then hopefully I’ll have a big new yard for my dog and myself,” she said. 1948

Marilyn Manson collapsed on stage during a concert in The Woodlands, Texas on Saturday. The musician was at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in the Houston metro area for the "Twins of Evil — The Second Coming" tour with Rob Zombie.Manson complained of "heat poisoning" before the third song in his set list, according to a fan's video on YouTube. Photographers had also been told prior to the show that Manson wasn't feeling ill and didn't want his photo to be taken during the concert, the Houston Press reported.In video footage from the concert Manson can be seen belting out his fourth song of the night, "Sweet Dreams," before falling over.The rock star came back for one more song before canceling the rest of his set. He later tweeted he was being seen by doctors but didn't elaborate on his condition or symptoms. 863

Now she's set to break a new one.For the first time in U.S. Army Forces Command, or FORSCOM, history, a woman will be leading the largest command in the Army, representing 776,000 soldiers and 96,000 civilians.This may be a first for the Army, but Richardson has had other firsts.She has been with the U.S. Army since 1986, and in 2012 she became the first female deputy commanding general for the 1st Cavalry Division, known as "America's First Team."In 2017, she became second in command to Gen. Robert B. Abrams, when she was named the first female deputy commanding general of FORSCOM in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, the U.S. Army reported.Now, Richardson will become the first female commanding general of the U.S. Army FORSCOM as Abrams steps down from his post, reported CNN affiliate WTVD.On Tuesday, Abrams announced he would be leaving his post to become commander of United States Armed Forces Korea.
