SAN DIEGO (KGTV and CNS) -- A San Diego County deputy facing charges that he groped 13 women was arrested again Thursday on five new charges, including forcible oral copulation.Richard Fischer, 32, is being held on million bail and is scheduled to be arraigned Friday morning in a Vista courtroom.Fischer faces more than 10 years if convicted on the new charges, according to the District Attorney. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A Camp Pendleton Marine was taken into custody this week after border officials say the Marine was trying to smuggle immigrants through a port of entry.The junior-enlisted Marine was taken into custody early Monday morning by U.S. Customs and Border Protection personnel at the San Ysidro Port of Entry, according to the 1st Marine Division at Camp Pendleton. The Marine was reportedly bringing undocumented immigrants into the port.The Marine is being held in civilian custody and CBP and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service were investigating. In July, 23 Marines were detained over human trafficking, drug distribution, and weapons charges, according to the base.Of those 1st Marine Division Marines, six have pleaded guilty at court martial appearances. Thirteen Marines have approved pre-trial agreements requesting separation from the Marines instead of court martials or waiving separation board processes. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – A car crashed through a parking garage wall and dangled from a building Friday night.Emergency crews responded to the Harbor Club parking structure before 7 p.m.Firefighters say the driver of the White Lexus was a woman in her sixties. They say her foot got stuck under the brake pedal and she was unable to stop.Shortly after the accident authorities were able to pull the car back into the building. The driver was not hurt.A structural engineer was called to the scene and is assessing the damage to the building. 558

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A driver escaped serious injury after falling asleep behind the wheel and crashing his pickup truck on state Route 52 in the Kearny Mesa area.The crash happened at around 11:45 p.m. Thursday on the eastbound side of SR-52 near the transition to Interstate 805, the California Highway Patrol said.ABC 10News learned a man was driving his work truck when he fell asleep, leading his vehicle to roll over several times across freeway lanes before coming to rest on the right shoulder.The driver was able to crawl out of the wreckage and was evaluated for minor injuries by paramedics at the scene. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – A family escaped from a fire that erupted in the garage of their Bay Ho home late Sunday night, but the family’s pet cat did not survive.At around 11:15 p.m., San Diego Fire-Rescue crews were called to a home in the 4800 block of Hidalgo Avenue in response to a fire at a two-story home.Firefighters knocked down the flames and kept the fire contained to the garage, but there was smoke damage throughout the home, SDFD spokesperson Monica Munoz said. A time of knockdown was not available.The family of five made it out of the home safely, but ABC 10News learned the family’s cat was overcome by smoke and later passed away.The American Red Cross was called to help the displaced residents arrange for temporary lodging.
