SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A man accused of carrying out a series of credit union heists in San Diego County, stealing more than ,000 over a three-month span, pleaded not guilty Friday to 10 felony counts, including robbery and attempted robbery.Karl Doron, 43, was arrested Tuesday after he entered the Navy Federal Credit Union, 6755 Mira Mesa Blvd., and allegedly demanded cash from the employees, according to FBI Special Agent Davene Butler.Police officers and FBI agents had been monitoring Doron based on information they had gathered in an investigation that began in late December, when the first robbery occurred, Butler said.Upon leaving the credit union, he was taken into custody without incident and found to be carrying a loaded handgun, the agent said.RELATED: FBI searching for 'Gloved Robber' in series of credit union heistsDeputy District Attorney Andy Aguilar said Doron, whose alleged spree started three days after Christmas, used gloves, glasses, coats and other clothing to mask his identity. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Authorities today identified a 19-year-old woman who was fatally shot following a parking lot fight in the Bonita area. Sheriff's deputies responded at 7:40 p.m. Saturday to a report of shooting at an apartment complex in the 5100 block of Cedarwood Road, according to Lt. Thomas Seiver of the Sheriff's Homicide Unit.The initial investigation revealed a fight took place between several women in the parking lot before the victim, identified as Janessa Delvalle, was fatally shot, Seiver said. When deputies arrived, they found people giving her CPR.She was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Construction crews will close the northbound Interstate 5 off-ramp at Balboa Avenue Friday for a full weekend of work to make improvements to the off-ramp and its intersection with Balboa Avenue, according to the San Diego Association of Governments.The closure will take place from 9 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday, during which time construction crews will widen the off-ramp from one lane to two and add a traffic signal at the affected intersection. The signal will go into permanent operation on Monday when the ramp re-opens to vehicle traffic. The improvements will make it easier for motorists to access the future Balboa Avenue trolley station once it opens.The closure will necessitate lane reductions on Balboa and Garnet avenues between Mission Bay Drive and Moraga Avenue, according to SANDAG. Only one lane in each direction will be open to vehicle traffic throughout the weekend, although the schedule is subject to change.The weekend work is part of the .17 billion Mid-Coast Trolley Blue Line Extension, which includes a planned 11-mile extension of trolley service by MTS from Santa Fe Depot in downtown San Diego to University City. The extension will add trolley stops in Mission Bay Park, UC San Diego and Westfield UTC. SANDAG is receiving .04 billion in funding from the Federal Transit Administration to complete the project.The extension and related projects are intended to reduce traffic congestion as the county's population increases. Duncan Hunter criticized Navy officials Monday for their plans to possibly remove a Navy SEAL acquitted of murder charges from the service against the wishes of President Donald Trump. Hunter commented Monday outside San Diego federal court regarding the Navy's handling of the war crimes case of Navy SEAL Chief Edward Gallagher, who was acquitted by a military jury this summer of stabbing a wounded teenage ISIS fighter to death in Mosul, Iraq, as well as other charges of attempting to kill unarmed Iraqi civilians. Hunter discussed the Gallagher case for about five minutes with reporters, but did not comment regarding his ongoing campaign fraud case, in which he's accused of misusing 0,000 in campaign funds for personal use. Hunter was indicted along with his wife on five dozen criminal counts, including wire fraud, conspiracy, and falsification of records. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A man who jumped onstage during a Taylor Swift concert at Petco Park in 2015 and was tackled by members of her security team -- seriously injuring one of them -- is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday for allegedly beating a man to death in the Midway District earlier this month. Christian Ewing, 29, was arrested last Friday for a parole violation and was re-arrested Monday on suspicion of murder in the death of 57-year-old Gregory Freeman. Freeman was found Dec. 5 in the 3900 block of Rosecrans Street near the Interstate 5 overpass, police said. Freeman, who had trauma to his upper body, was taken to a hospital but died four days later. One witness told police that Freeman was on the ground when a man began to hit him with some sort of object. The attacker then fled, said San Diego police Lt. Anthony Dupree. More than three years ago, Ewing sneaked into Swift's concert and jumped onstage while she was performing. He was tackled by security guards, one of whom suffered a broken rib.
