WASHINGTON - Senior officials from the United States and China are scheduled to hold a twice-yearly dialogue in Washington this week on bilateral and multilateral issues, AFP reported Monday, citing a statement by the US State Department. A senior central bank official has rejected calls for a quicker increase in the flexibility of the renminbi exchange rate, saying the currency's role in rectifying global economic imbalances should not be exaggerated.
