In the coming days, Instagram users will be getting a bit less info about those in their social network.A number of Instagram users have noticed that the "Following" tab under the mobile app's notification page has disappeared. The "Following" tab showed snippets of activity of the users a person follows. For example, it would show if a person you follow had liked a set of photos marked with the same hashtag, or show if a particular user liked a significant amount of posts from a given account. The feature allowed users to find more accounts and content that he or she might enjoy. In a landmark decision, an Oklahoma judge on Monday ordered pharmaceutical giant Johnson & Johnson to pay 2 million for its role in the state's opioid crisis. The verdict issued by Cleveland County District Judge Thad Balkman marks the end of the first state trial attempting to hold a pharmaceutical company accountable for one of the worst health epidemics in history. In his ruling, Balkman said the opioid crisis has "ravaged" the state of Oklahoma.Oklahoma is one of dozens of states suing opioid drugmakers and this case is the first state case to reach trial. A federal trial is slated for this fall in which nearly 2,000 cases involving cities, counties, communities and tribal lands have been rolled into one, accusing opioid makers of causing the epidemic.Attorneys across the nation -- especially those which are part of the trial set for federal court in Ohio this fall -- have been "watching and learning from the case Oklahoma assembled, while defendants have been watching for vulnerabilities in that case," Carl Tobias, a professor of law at the 1080
KOKOMO — A central Indiana woman has a word of warning for other women after finding something strange on a feminine product she just recently purchased."It's really gross," Kimberly Fisher said after opening the package of her Tampax Pearl tampon and noticing the string was discolored."I thought that was odd so I go to look at the tip of it and I noticed that it was also a weird and dingy color and so I pushed it out of the applicator and it had nothing but black mold all over it," Fisher said.Fisher said she bought the new box of tampons in Kokomo, Indiana, last week — two days before making the discovery. Fisher said she immediately became concerned wondering if other tampons she already used looked the same way."The fear of what could happen, the fear of did my last one have that and I did not know," she said.Fisher said she hopes by sharing her story it will serve as a warning for other women and girls to check their tampons before using them."We need to spread awareness because this is something you never thought about," Fisher said. "I never thought the horror story of finding mold on a tampon."Fisher shared her experience on Facebook in a post that has now gone viral with more than 32,000 shares.Procter & Gamble, the manufacturer of Tampax, said they have completed a thorough manufacturing investigation and can assure consumers no issues were identified at that site or through the transportation process to the retailer.
